 "wait we talking about practice?"
  • 3 1
 not the race I love.....practice??

@rockyflowtbay: it's an AI quote. the Answer
  • 1 0
@mtbynot No, this is the race as of today.
  • 2 0
I wonder if AI knows this quote lives on in the biking world.
  • 2 1
@snomaster: yes. I changed “game” to “race”. To make it applicable to racing….
  • 5 1
@rockyflowtbay: Allen Iverson never said the "I love" part. For next time (and there will be a next time) here's the full quote:

"It's easy to sum it up if you're just talking about practice. We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're talking about practice. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we're talking about practice. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it's my last but we're talking about practice man. How silly is that? ... Now I know that I'm supposed to lead by example and all that but I'm not shoving that aside like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I honestly do but we're talking about practice. We're talking about practice man. We're talking about practice. We're talking about practice. We're not talking about the game. We're talking about practice. When you come to the arena, and you see me play, you've seen me play right, you've seen me give everything I've got, but we're talking about practice right now. ... Hey I hear you, it's funny to me too, hey it's strange to me too but we're talking about practice man, we're not even talking about the game, when it actually matters, we're talking about practice ... How the hell can I make my teammates better by practicing?"

@mi-bike: Wait.. What are we talking about?
  • 1 0
@mi-bike: ha. That’s funny. I would have bet that he said “not the I love, practice”. Too funny.

Gotta love the time spreads at Fort Bill. After seeing a bunch of short tracks with razor thin spreads, interesting to see different first (minute) numbers on the times. Not sure if anybody is gonna push super hard on the TT with such a long weekend ahead. Already saw an injured rider being tended to at the top rocks on Loz's track preview video. Best to just make it to qualifying, get in the show, then hang it out.
  • 3 0
at the speed these people ride, it isn't even a matter of pushing that much harder. you wreck at practice speed and you are hurting.
  • 7 2
Thought Myriam Nicole would be sitting this one out?

Frenchie healthcare is so good she will just replace her brain if worse comes to worse.

In Wyn's Track Walk earlier she stated she will race.

“Maaaan we up here talkin’ bout practice. Practice.”
  • 3 0
Why aren't any of my Fantasy Team riders in the top 5? Quick, I gotta make some trades.
  • 3 1
I know its just training but damn 50s difference for Izabela Yankova. Wouldve been in the top 5 for elite! Feel like she's just in a league of her own.
  • 2 3
She was 33 seconds behind 1st elite woman and several junior women don't ride TT because they show up for the race weekend only. So, let's hold off on the "in a league of her own" comments for a little while longer?
  • 2 1
Not 50 seconds but 1:50 up on second place!
  • 1 0
 @dhb7: math is hard
  • 1 0
@yoimaninja: this didn't age well. 6th in qualies.

Reece was signing autographs on the way down the track...

@betsie the BDS stopped in 2017. You are referring to British Cyclings National DH Series.

The BDS returns to Llangollen on the UK’s steepest race track, 28-29th of May. Should should race in the Vets category, I heard your good, just mind out for the if you get on the podium with Peaty
  • 2 1
It's gonna be so cool to get smoked by the legend himself.
Peaty being there works in my favour Smile

That's an impressive time from Mathilde Bernhard and this is no BMX track.

Where can we access the rest of the results from today or is that everyone who rode? Looking for one of the junior male results who's local to where I live
  • 2 0
Only the top 10 male juniors get to take part in timed training. Results are on the UCI page:

Will any pubs in London be playing the race live? I’ll be visiting the UK on Sunday, but unfortunately can’t make the push to Fort William to see it live.
  • 1 0
Unlikely, never known the pubs to show anything other than Football, Rugby and maybe Tennis during Wimbledon.
  • 3 0
Yes, "Look mum no hands" near Old Street will almost definitely show it, it's a bike cafe/bar with good food and a nice drinks selection.

 @rarerider: Good knowledge!

@rarerider: i did not expect this answer at all. Thanks. I’ll check it out.

Track is slightly different to bds so not comparable

It has to be hard for Jackson here with the wind and his lightweight frame. But I hope he wins regardless!

Jordan Williams hauling some serious ass!

 Timed training. Is. Everything.
  • 3 5
Great to see Marine Caribou back on the sharp end of the results! Congrats on a great win. Izabela just destroying the JR Women's field by nearly 2 mins! That must be a record.
  • 3 1
12 of 15 junior women listed on the qualifying start list didn't ride timed training. Probably because they're still in school, or at jobs (i.e. don't have a pro contract).
  • 2 0
 Loic?
  • 7 0
Saw him helped into his tent holding his wrist early afternoon. Didn’t look good - had someone walking with him and someone carrying his bike and helmet.
  • 1 1
Anyone know if Loic is racing? He was protected on qualifying list but isn't showing up on timed training results.
  • 1 0
Any word on Finn Iles? Don't see him anywhere...

@bgoldstone: Ah dang! Thanks for that.

 So no Rachel?

She does appear to be there. Finished 30th in the qualifying results.
  • 3 0
@rallyimprezive: That's the qualifying start list.
  • 2 0
@rallyimprezive: Are you talking about the qualifying start list?
  • 3 0
@rallyimprezive: I think hes talking about the qualifying start list
  • 3 3
@rallyimprezive: He probably meant to say the qualifying start list. But lets downvote him for the honest mistake. What a tool.
  • 4 0
@rallyimprezive: @rallyimprezive: lol (i gave you an upvote to stop the bleeding)
  • 2 2
Bet they're all glad Nick Clark is not there.
  • 1 0
 Where’s Nico?
  • 8 0
No idea, but Nico Lamm is on the qualifying start list (108th), so no need to get worried now.

If Nico is a typo, no need to worry because Niko Velasco is also on the start list!

If it's a double typo (what are the chances?) dont despair either. Your man Neko Mulally is there.
