Press release: Leatt

With our wide range of enduro and trail products, we have today announced that Tomas Lemoine will be joining the Leatt brand for the upcoming season.

French rider and enthusiastic rapper, Tomas Lemoine is a Crankworx superstar and one of the few riders to compete in so many disciplines. Competing at the highest-level, day after day, is a challenge very few athletes can undertake. Tomas’ main event and focus continues to be slopestyle – but his diversity is something unique.

French rap is perfect for flow riding and park riding. Anytime I'm on my dj, I'm listening to french rap. The words just flow together so well, and you know you're aren't at risk of suddenly hearing DJ Khaled shouting his name.

Maybach, pah. It's long overdue that the VW Transporter got a shout out in a rap video www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaKrV9J80kc

My love for Leatt is the least endurbro thing about me.

My last Leatt DBX 3.0 Enduro was the most comfortable helmet I've ever had. Crashed it and decided to try out the Fox Proframe because I was always wearing my Leatt in the full face version, and just wanted a helmet with full downhill rating, but the Fox just doesn't fit the same. Maybe I'll get a 4.0 when this helmet bites the dust a bit too hard
  • 1 0
@matt-15: I love the 4.0. The Proframe is far too light to provide the mental assurance I need when racing. It just doesn't feel protective enough. the 4.0 does a great job of striking a balance between light weight, substantial and well ventilated.
  • 1 0
@fullendurbro: The main reason I chose the Proframe over the 4.0 was basically because it was lighter and better ventilated. Most of my riding consists of what I would call "aggressive trail" and I just felt safer with a chinbar, and (at the time) I had planned to only have the one mountain bike helmet, so it needed to be not such a heavy helmet that it felt out of place on XC trails. I am planning on buying a open face helmet for this season, and I'm still debating between the Leatt 3.0 Trail (3.0 Enduro without chinbar) or the Smith Forefront 2
  • 1 0
@matt-15: The Smith Forefront 2 is my trail helmet and I love it. Airflow is good, and I think the Koroyd + MIPS is better than Leatt's turbine system. I just think the aesthetics of Leatt's full faces, riding kits and armor are great.
  • 1 0
@fullendurbro: Definitely agree with the Koroyd, I have their Code snow helmet and I can tell you it works from first hand experience. I've tried the Smith in store before and it fits me pretty well. Still have to decide what colour I want to get, right now I'm stuck between the classic black with green Koroyd, and the grey with black Koroyd and gold lettering

@fullendurbro: Leatt's turbine system actually looks quite good. It protects from both rotational impacts and straight, head on ones. MIPs isn't so effective in linear impacts I think and Koyord too I believe. Maybe check this out : www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwSydAMC0fY
