No matter which bike you choose Hardtail or Fully The Hood Pro or the Hood FS both are winning bikes Congratulations to Tomas Slavik and Johannes Fischbach for 1st and 2nd place at DownMall Tour in Berlin

Tomas Slavik brought home another win from the second round of the Downmall Tour 2015 held in Berlin, Germany. This result underlined his leading position in the overall standings, and he takes a solid points lead into the final round. He is the biggest favourite to take the win in Prague this week, and the overall title as well. Johannes Fischbach battled with his GHOST colleague Tomas Slavik for the victory and narrowly ended up in the runner-up position.

The Downmall race format, as it has been known for the past few years, was pushed to new heights this winter as Eastern Gravity created the Downmall Tour, the first ever series of these shopping mall races. The track went through four floors of the “Eastgate shopping mall” in Berlin and thrilled the 30 international pro riders who had been invited and the spectators who packed the mall.

"The 2nd round in Berlin was probably the most difficult track I have ever ridden in a shopping mall. Lots of stairs, 180 degrees turns, lots of stop and go sections. You really had to be precise and keep calm, because once you miss a braking point it's all over for you. Every centimeter counts here! I got into quite a good rhythm and had a good run in the final. The bottom of the track was quite interesting during finals, as we were really pushing it to the limit and landing the big drop almost flat. At the end it was me and Johannes Fischbach, who delivered the fastest times, and I got first by 0.3 sec. in front of Fischy! 3rd place was a gap of over 1 second. I would say it was a really great performance by GHOST bikes guys. Next stop is the final round this week in Prague. Really looking forward to racing on home soil and to all the fans, it’s gonna be a great weekend! See you there“ -Tomas Slavik

“Since I was not able to participate in the first race, I was even more excited to be able to show off my skills today! Ever since I switched my training from 4X to Downhill World Cups, I have been missing some of my old quick acceleration power used to accelerate coming out of corners and bends. But I won’t make the trip to Berlin to simply participate. I want to fight for a podium finish. The competition is really tough, but I will give it my best shot.” said Johannes before the race started. The qualifying run did not go perfectly, but, despite his crash, the GHOST-RRP rider qualified for the final. “The final went great! I was able to deliver a solid run all the way down to the finish line and ended up in second place, only 0.3 seconds behind my GHOST teammate and favorite to win, Tomas Slavik! Tomas is the current 4X world Champion and has already won the first event in the series. That really demonstrates that this is a top result” -  Johannes Fischbach.

The final round of the Downmall Tour 2015 is taking place in Prague this week. Don't miss it!.
