![]() | When thinking of places to take a mountain bike trip, Alabama historically hasn't been too high on the list. However with the Coldwater trail network built by IMBA in Anniston on the map now, it's a different story. Cody Kelley and I took a trip there this spring to explore what the deep south had to offer, and it was really good. So good in fact, that we met riders from all of the surrounding states, even as far away as Ohio and Florida, who had come to Coldwater to ride. This is a really fun trail system, and it's truly having a positive impact on the community as well by helping bring more money and people in to help the town grow and thrive. Coldwater is definitely worth the trip, and the southern hospitality of Anniston is unrivaled. You'll have a blast out there! - Eric Porter |
![]() | One of my favourite things about mountain biking is going on new adventures and exploring new trail areas, and this being my first time to Anniston, it provide just that. When you combine a great trail system with friendly people and classic southern food it is a winning combination for sure! This is a trip that everyone needs to put on their calendars. I will definitely be coming back. - Cody Kelley |

Anniston does have some sweet trails though, in my opinion more fun than Oak Mountain!
But seriously, this place looks like a grand time. Really want to ride here and eat as much southern food as humanly possible.
Dont drink the water!
