Are You Up For The Challenge?

Just like that, we've completed two weeks of the Trailforks Winter Challenge. In week two, 1,490 participants rode 47,116 miles over 4,347 rides. Now that's some impressive stats for November! See below for who won this week's prize and don't forget to record your rides with Trailforks for the next six weeks for a chance to WIN awesome weekly prizes courtesy of SRAM and RockShox.

How much riding can you do in 8 weeks?

WINTER TRAIL CHALLENGE:

From now until Tuesday Jan 12th 2021, challenge yourself, challenge friends and get out and ride your bike!

Prizes:

Weekly prize packs (8 total) featuring RockShox Reverb AXS Seatpost and SRAM GX Eagle Boxset.

WEEK TWO PRIZE WINNER: @mtb-jon

Weekly Prize draws will be held every Tuesday from now to Jan 12th 2021

How it Works:

Each week, for every mile you ride you will earn an entry point. It’s open to anyone recording a ride, so MTB, Road Bike, Gravel Bike etc. So your commute to work can count!

But, by riding trails you double your chances. If you ride trails on your ride you get a 2 x Entry points for every mile ridden. And if you use the Trailforks App to record your rides you also earn 2x Entry points per mile ridden.

Every week, all entry points are put in to a random prize draw with winners drawn and announced on Trailforks.

Note: Points earned per week count for each weekly prize drawer. Points do not roll over.

Given it is often wet during the winter months in the northern hemisphere, please make smart ride decisions! Choose trails that can handle wet weather riding if it is wet, or choose a road ride instead.
Also adhere to your local COVID restrictions and best practice.

Takes all the fun out of it when you are competing with a ghost. Not likely a human on a bike.

And yes, eroad bikes exist and are not prohibited in this challenge.

Still haven't figured out how to keep Trailforks app tracking for more than 200m Frown Got all the power settings I can think of right on my Android 10 but it's just not usable.. And since only public Strava rides sync it's a bit of a disqualifier, is it just my phone?

I was excited about this contest but feels like TrailForks/PinkBike don’t feel the same. Weekly winner for week 3 hasn’t been announced and week 4 is almost over. Like a lot of people I’ve had some issues with rides on trails not counting. My guess is that it has to do with the percentage of the ride that is on single track but my trail head is a ways from my house and I ride there and back...
Anyway, keeping my fingers crossed, been in the top 20 all four weeks.

I’m a slacker after seeing the guy in first place rode over 500 miles since Tuesday lol

I sure hope you boot those up-loading out of date rides out of the competition. Kinda defeats the spirit of the event.

LOL I'm guessing the "week one winner" was a typo, lest I just got my week one win revoked! Razz

Congrats mtb-jon!

Do you need to have pro? Or does it need to be connected with strava to record?
  • 1 0
I think negative for both. You can record with trailforks, that actually give you better chance then recording with strava. And nowhere they said you have to get the pro

@Spiral23: Ah yea I found it, cheers buddy.

 @iridedj: no sweat!

did one ride week 2. Wasn't counted as a trail ride for some reason.
  • 1 0
Had the same thing happen in week 1 and now again in week 3. Trail is recognized in Trailforks but doesn't count in the contest.

Same. @canadaka ... I just did a 17 mile ride yesterday, recorded with the app, rode two trails, but I guess the second has a tiny deadend loop at the top and the first hooks in right below that, but I rode the entirety of the first trail... My ridelog says I rode a trail, but I was only given 34 points.

@trailforks any updates to subsequent week winners?
