The entire Transition Bikes crew is elated to be back on the World Stage with the FMD Racing family.

"Having spent a good few days testing and having fun with Transition, it has been so refreshing to see how passionate and involved they are about our sport. I strongly believe that FMD and Transition are an amazing match and together can make big steps in the right direction. They are eager to see us develop as a team and do anything they can to help, which is such a positive feeling going into the season. Let the journey begin!" - Tahnée Seagrave / Transition Factory Racing

"2011 was the last year a Transition Factory supported team competed on the World Cup circuit. And I am absolutely psyched to have this crew representing us and how our partnership has come together. From the first instant I spoke with Tony Seagrave, it was apparent to me how parallel our motives and expectations were. Having just returned from a week in Wales working with the full team, I'm amazed and inspired by their passion for racing and all things related.

Being able to work so closely with their mechanics on their race bikes and assure they have absolutely everything they need for success was invaluable. Working directly with the mechanics and athletes is as streamlined as it gets. There are so many nuances involved with equipment and race-craft at this level, and being able to tap into my racing and inner bike geek eliminates all communication barriers as we're speaking the same language. I have no doubt that it is going to be an exciting year and I can't wait to see what they're going to do on the TR500!
" - Lars Sternberg / Transition Bikes

"For the first time in FMD Racing's history, we have been able to work closely with our main sponsor - the mechanics, riders and I have just had Lars spend a week at 'FMD Towers'. He was able to visit MoJo whilst the mechanics and riders were setting up their TR500's with their new Fox suspension and was also on hand to advise and assist at testing the following day... Lars' input has been, and will continue to be, invaluable. We also found out he sucks at karting!

We are so stoked to be part of the Transition family - the whole FMD team wanted to partner with a company that believes in what we are doing and where we are going. After speaking to several companies, there was one company who's enthusiasm stood out, a mutual respect followed and a new 'bromance' was formed. This partnership allows us to continue our development of young riders so we can ensure there is a proper structure that gives the correct support and opportunities.

Tahnée tested several bikes at the end of 2015 and the Transition TR500 - straight out the box - was the only one that instantly had her grinning. I will not say "the bike is faster, the company is awesome" like everyone else but what I will say is that the riders love the bike and the company is full of people that truly love to ride bikes - all bikes. This love gives them the ability to build the bikes everyone wants to ride.

The 'stoke' factor is mutual and long may it continue!
" - Tony Seagrave / Transition Factory Racing

Continuing FMD's development heritage the Team consists of two programs. World Cup and Development - Tahnée Seagrave and Neil Stewart make up the Transition Factory Racing roster. Whilst Kaos Seagrave, Joe Parfitt and Jamie Edmonson comprise the Transition / FMD Racing roster.

When was the last time you saw a factory team headlined by a female rider? Very progressive Transition.
  • 335 2
 Manon Carpenter at Madison Saracen
  • 32 1
 Oh snap!
  • 13 0
pretty sure a carbon tr500 is/will be in the works
  • 14 5
What year, @Ianjones666? Last year's press release put both Matt Simmonds and Sam Dale before Manon in the announcement.
  • 9 2
Probably because she has the most potential in the women's field? She rides like a man, body position etc. Great to watch.
  • 9 3
Hey, I'm not questioning it. I think its awesome a female rider is the highest paid and the star of the show. You have to wonder if Rachel wasn't a co-owner of her own team if she wouldn't be headlining a big brand's team, like Giant.
  • 3 0
@Rubberelli did they? Jeez there's no way I would have considering she was champ and overall winner. I'm surprised and also not surprised. Would you say she is the star if the team (manon that is)? I think I would say she is.
  • 1 1
Its all a matter of who gets paid more, not who is ranked higher in their respective divisions.
  • 2 0
@viatch pretty sure we'll see an aluminum "giddy up" DH bike very soon...
  • 112 2
Great team, we´re proud to be on board.

Tony you sexy thing...!

 Couldn't have chosen worse music....
  • 3 2
 why...follow follow...that will happen Wink
  • 7 9
Well, it could have been some soft and slow love song that seems to proliferate 50% of mtb videos.

Its not actually music if no Guitars are used.
  • 9 6
IMO, the music was very fitting. It gives a sense of excitement and speed that matches nicely the visuals. Those Transition guys know how to make a great teaser! Loved it. Good luck for the season!

That song was the audio equivalent of vomiting while having a seizure.
  • 2 1
2010 called to ask for its track back. Definitely second to the Sam Hill video, which was aptly described by someone as a "a sonic shit sandwich" though.
  • 11 1
Transition has a musical sense of humor in case you never noticed by watching their company vids. Kinda like pops naming his son KAOS. Tranny makes me proud to be a Merican, when so few things do these days, I.E. McDonald Trump.
  • 5 1
 Hayduke Lives!
  • 4 0
I was thinking, "Kaos, what a cool name!" Reminds me (dating myself here) of the international syndicate of evil in Get Smart.
  • 2 0
@MtbSince84 I'm right there witcha- Big fan of Get Smart! KAOS vs. CONTROL.
  • 2 1
 Video was best on mute
  • 24 0
Hell....YES!!!! So stoked to see transition back in the game strong. And with Tahnee as well. Can't wait for April to come around and see what you guys can put together this year!
  • 3 1
Yeah I reckon, at the rate she had been going she could easily win a few.

It looks like the tr500 would suit her, it must be lighter than the Wilson at least?
  • 2 0
By about a pound and a half I think
  • 26 0
Let's get Bas on the program!
  • 3 0
 yep...he is needed
  • 13 1
Good to see a new DH squad joining the world cup in this enduro age ... well played Transition
  • 7 0
Now if we could get DH in the olympics
  • 11 0
Is that a dressing gown or a jedi robe?
  • 3 0
It's the Transition factory team dressing gown, there going to be all the rage this year !!!! Everyone knows the Jedi robe has a hood
  • 8 1
All hail transition, having tahnee on the bike only makes the tr500 more sexy!
  • 7 0
in true parody style, I think Transition intentionally chose this song. It was hilarious more than terrible.
  • 4 0
I wonder if now that they have a carbon Patrol and a WC team a carbon TR500 is in the works. Not that it needs it, but it would be so sexy.
  • 2 0
"Tahnée tested several bikes at the end of 2015 and the Transition TR500 - straight out the box - was the only one that instantly had her grinning."

Must be so cool !! wanna change team ? try every bike you want and then take a sponsorship with your favorite one Big Grin ahaha Tony killed ir !!

All love to Transition, I'm a Bham local, this is super clutch but...
Whats up with the hard brostep?
  • 3 1
This was the least Transition like video I have ever seen
  • 3 2
Maybe it had to have Euro appeal.
  • 2 0
Is this the WA State representation of the comment section?

I was already excited about the WC season, but now even more with a little connection to this part of the world.
  • 2 0
 Bham represent!!

 Where is Bas???
  • 1 0
I think he actually went to a handful of WCs last year but then I didn't see him in the results. I assume he didn't qualify, unfortunately.

Sometimes mountain biking is bluegrass...and then sometimes its straight dub-step.

Strange ... according to thei programm they do not compete at the World Championships
  • 7 0
No one competes at the World Championships unless they are chosen by their national federation to represent their country. All the riders that are selected for the World Championships will be fully supported by the team.
