Born and bred in rugged ride zones like the Rockies all the way to the Alpes. The ¾ sleeve jersey is a standard of the Ruckus line and made for staying cool without sacrificing the protection from hauling butt through the trees and hitting shrapnel. The ladies get a more robust fabric than the men, with a DWR treated premium 4-way stretch fabric.

Ruckus Premium All Mountain Gear
Born and bred in rugged ride zones like the Rockies and the Alpes. Ruckus is made to work hard and play hard. The Ruckus short is desired by our customers and the media, often heralded as the ‘best fitting MTB short’ with a commanding list of features. The ¾ sleeve jersey is a standard of the Ruckus line and made for staying cool without sacrificing the coverage from hauling butt through the trees and hitting trail shrapnel. For 2017, this popular seller sees an increased length to the inner thigh zipper vent. We also made subtle changes to the inner finish of the short and improved construction so the durable short is made for even more abuse.

I might even consider growing some boobs, to avoid wearing those 2017 men's jerseys.
  • 33 3
 Lol.

It's actually quite easy. It's called not riding and eating pizza every minute of every day. Should have your moobs in, oh, six months?
  • 35 2
 Ah yes the ole chesticles
  • 14 1
Ya not a good year for designs. That's okay my 5-6yr old TL jerseys and shorts are going strong. I can wait. Smile
  • 4 0
If that womens blue fade to green Skyline jersey was in a mens cut I'd totally buy it. I like the color scheme! It would go really well with my light green FOX shorts from 2014.
  • 3 0
@handynzl: Six months? Get some good steroids and you'll have them in three...
  • 6 0
Wow I can look like a jockey with that new skyline jersey! Just need to bang some coconut shells together as I ride for the sound effects

I demand that their couturier be dismissed immediately.

I annually click on this to see how they managed to become even more hideous.... please don't count my view as an interest in the products.
  • 40 6
Gidday. My name is Troy and I see you're interested in my latest threads. Can I interest you in a new Skyline top and shorts combo? No? What if I throw in a set of steak knives?
  • 30 18
I think you guys are trippin. Everything coming out of troy lee this season is on trend-- (forget the press release, browse their site to see what I mean). Their designers know what theyre doing and not everyone is their target customer.

Keep leading the pack and staying true to your socal pedigree, TLD.
  • 5 0
@handynzl: Steak Knives? Deal. But I was really hoping for a wheel barrow. Guess I'll just have to Transition to another brand for a wheel barrow.
  • 6 3
Same dude same. Can't believe how horrendous nowadays clothing for mountain biking has become.
  • 21 5
@me2menow: how long have you've been working for Troy lee?
  • 4 2
@me2menow: See if they are leading the pack with designs like that then I dont want them to lead the pack.
  • 7 0
What they are supposed to do? I think somebody said this before. There's little you can do withouth passing the limits of conventional looking clothes and colors. Is impossible to do an original design without making something that looks funny only because we are not used to it.
  • 4 1
@me2menow: Yes, Sir! If you want boring, buy something else.
  • 5 1
Honestly, and for the first time, I'm digging the designs here. These seem a bit less loud than before
  • 3 1
@chillrider199: It's just fashion dude, some companies are with it and some do their own thing. Historically cyclists are usually 5 yrs behind the ball though for whatever reason.

@MysticMCyclist: Yeah this guy sounds like some ditzy blond they would hire at Target headquarters (a American Tesco style store). They would come up with phrases like "this is sooooo trend right, brand focused while being fast fun and friendly". Or my favorite, sending the entire company a email that goes like "Name some super cool department to outsource to our new office in India and you will win a $100 Target gift card".
  • 1 1
@me2menow: Yup, it's what Fairclough rockin' so it's mos def "on trend", please believe.
  • 3 1
@caliride: dont need to be so butthurt man, no one insulted your masculinity and no ones forcing you to buy the shit
  • 4 2
@Ben-P Wow, I see a lot can change in one year... when I made a similar statement at the last TLD press release I was voted down to the earth's core... and now you manage to get 70+ upvotes lol
Troy Lee is the Ed Hardy of bikes. Although it looks like they're trying to be less Ed Hardy nowadays.
  • 1 0
@me2menow: Reasonable comments are so rare when I come across one I'm surprised. I appreciate your comment.
  • 1 0
@caliride: I'm sad that I can only like this statement once.
  • 1 0
The circuit shorts(not shown) are actually really sick. Black or charcoal. They're like dickies shorts but stretchy. Fit and style is between the ruckus and skyline,...true to size, low pro logo, med weight. Highly recommend as long as the sticthing holds up-which has been an issue on recent years tld.
  • 35 9
Why is everyone hating on the gear? It doesn't look bad it's just a lot different to other brands, thats because troy lee designs has more of a unique look, it stands outs and you can tell thats it's TLD straight away.
  • 22 2
Of course not everything is hideous in their rage, but their famed helmets are typically show stoppers and to me at least, they've taken the approach of throwing a bunch of cliched 20+yr old TLD motifs at the shells and just applying them where they landed. It's not the first year they've had this ethic and their brand is indeed famous for it but.. I think they could be braver, and I think they're becoming dated. Chequered flags, pinstripes and stars and stripes? Saw that in 2004. For the premium they charge, I'd expect design effort to match and be ahead of the curve not getting lazy.
  • 6 0
I still think it's the best looking gear. And I haven't been happier with a bike product than I am with my D3 Carbon
  • 1 0
@leopaul: undoubtedly, a great helmetTheir gear was always THE brand to aspire to own for me when I started and couldn't afford it. (I still can't 20yrs later ahem..) I think that's why I seem to be getting so annoyed at them this 'season'. I know they could be better. The competition isn't sleeping.
  • 31 7
Not feeling those D3 paint jobs. At all.
  • 31 10
not even the trump special, top right?
  • 6 2
@m9lee: that's actually the only one there I'd pick if I had a gun to my head... they seem especially cheap looking for this year to me. Friday afternoon jobs.
  • 12 3
 @m9lee: make TLD great again ? ????
  • 7 0
@EnduroManiac: no one knows helmets better than me!
  • 6 5
I think there is a "Trump inspired - "Make Merica Great Again" version in this years lineup if you look close enough...
  • 4 2
@m9lee: minssing the big "MAGA" on the rear
  • 14 5
@m9lee: The Russian flag doesn't have stars, silly...
  • 28 8
Peaty rides around in Spitfire colors, with Great Britain written all over it and nobody cares. You put Stars and Stripes on something and then everyone's loosing their minds...
  • 4 2
@Klainmeister: I was about to say the exact same thing. Damn.
  • 14 11
@WAKIdesigns: leftist are generally anti patriotism...too offensive.
  • 6 1
@WAKIdesigns: Well, might be the difference between what one rider decides to wear, and what is sold to the general public. I probably wouldn't buy a spitfire- painted V10 either.
  • 7 2
@jrocksdh: you don't need a painted flag to be a patriot man.
  • 4 3
@WAKIdesigns: with respect, this has zero to do with American patriotism. The helmets look like someone's dog OD'd on lucky charms and vomited all over them. They just do. Those pricks above who are seemingly chest thumping about American patriotism in a thread about bicycle clothing need their heads checked. GTF.

@jrocksdh: no comment ! Troy-lee for president Wink
  • 10 2
@FuzzyL, @nickkk - I just wanted to make a joke based on countless memes. And maybe to some extent I wanted to take piss out of that fkng stupid Spitfire V10 which reminds me of the dumbest episodes of Orange County Choppers. As to patriotism, it will take humanity at least 50 more years for an average citizen of Earth to go: "no, actually, there is nothing good in patriotism, it's same kind of bullsht like religion and any other ideology made up to feed and control the dumbest citizens, by making them feel special and adding some fake meaning and sense of belinging to their pitiful existence"
  • 3 1
@WAKIdesigns: I hear you. It somewhat stoked the fire here as you can see by turning a thread about silly looking bike helmets to... something else about the good ole US of A. I think that was inelegantly expressed and might have prompted a little too much Bud swigging rootin tootin.. seemed like it anyway. You're better than that Waki.. the OCC/Spitfire V10 thing made me laugh though, so 10/10. Every cloud and all that.
  • 2 2
@LuvAZ: does what offend me? That folks get bummed out about patriotism?
I get it, many identify with multiple countries or consider themselves citizens of the world.
But many are def anti patriotism..ironically, they have the lil flag next to their name.
  • 4 1
@nickkk: I don't care about Stars and Stripes on that helmet and find little patriotic crap in it. US flag is a nice piece of graphics. I dig it. I don't think it's healthy to relate graphics on a helmet to some dumb ideologies. As George Carlin said: "Let's leave symbols to the symbol minded".
  • 4 0
@WAKIdesigns: hold on mate, you were the guy who brought up the notion of national identity and the cultures of the U.K. and the US!?? "Spitfire crap" vs "Stars and stripes" you CLEARLY were trolling a point that people (apart from you) 'loved' the Peaty show of patriotism but in your view have a problem with 'Stars and Stripes'.. you know what you were doing Waki, I wasn't born yesterday.
  • 1 3
@nickkk: and m9lee comments were not about that at all... bye fkng hate this bullcrap
  • 3 0
@WAKIdesigns: I'm well aware of the joke m9lee was making. You stirred the pot by playing to the comments gallery, introducing some point scoring post about peaty vs the Stars and Stripes... and then you got your panties in a bunch when I called you on that. You can do better Waki. It was lazy.
  • 3 0
@nickkk @wakidesigns: the spitfire was more courage bravery then national identity, brave men from various parts of the commonwealth giving there lives in the sky. British yes but it's far more then that.
Star & stripes pure patriotic symbol
  • 2 0
@enduroFactory: I'm pretty sure war infact unites both. I don't have a US Marine handy to ask but I'm willing to bet they'd also view the US flag as a potent symbol of courage and bravery... Spitfires are indeed regularly wheeled out as symbols of British endeavour, ingenuity and technical might you are correct there but the two are not separate things I'd argue. Peaty's oft mentioned 'Forever England' approach to his kit designs over the years is not new but I viewed the Spitfire as a nod to many successful 'raids' over European soil over his DH 'campaign' It even had bomb/kill iconography on it signifying his wins such is the well trodden British humour post WW2. Anyway. Even I'm bored of this now. I've out Waki'd myself.
  • 4 0
@m9lee: The American flag should not be thought of as a symbol of Trump. Over half the people in America think he's an imbecile.

I'm considering buying that helmet just to prove that you don't have to be an extreme right wing nutter to rock the American flag.
  • 2 0
@wsor1337: think he's claimed it mate.
  • 1 0
You guys really don't like them? I'd get the flag one because 'Merica...but the black and yellow looks sick too. The other two shown are meh. Top left wouldn't be a bad choice if the rest of your kit was mostly just black or something.. but the bottom right one is poo. Red and orange just don't go together.
  • 32 8
In case you didn't look like a clown already.
  • 16 2
That akward moment when you come across a photo of yourself from a few seasons ago wearing full TLD kit. So much cringe.
  • 35 1
 Never go full TLD.

Their Laguna beach store accidentally sold XL knee pads to me as Medium and wont allow me to return them unused because the size does not match. They do not stand behind their products or mistakes.
  • 4 0
Just sent you a PM, I will get to the bottom of this.
  • 2 0
@allballz: Yep, Laguna beach. The city that doesn't realize how good they got it for it to become a mountain biking destination (like Whistler) and instead only focuses on art.
  • 10 0
Ready for everyone to complain about the design, then buy it anyway.
  • 3 0
 ^ true true.
  • 9 0
Definetely digging the American Flag D3. Very sick.
  • 1 0
Me too ! Its the same as one of the new SE4 helmets, but looks so good
  • 2 0
@qman11: Is that for when you don't want everyone knowing you're Canadian? Will work for about 5 minutes till you say sorry to someone!
  • 3 0
 Meh.

Skyline shorts look OK and hopefully as comfortable as my current pair, but unless they've upgraded their shirt material to something similar to that used by 100%, then I won't be buying any tops off them.

And will I need to extend my mortgage to buy some of their kit?
  • 1 0
Agreed, the skyline shorts actually improved by adding the zippered pocket. The shirt material they have been using is just way too hot for here in AZ.
  • 2 0
@azdog: Try the new skyline AIR
  • 9 2
I really want that Merica d3.
  • 6 1
I saw it first. Back off.
  • 3 0
It's one of the only decent looking ones for the D3 this year....but its not on their site. I have no idea why, but its like they just didn't put it up.
  • 3 1
Didn't see it listed on their site though. That was the only thing that caught my eye, but have to admit the Fox Rampage Carbon Pro is way more comfortable. Stars and Bars for life!
  • 2 0
@trueeast: So I quick shot them a message because it looks like some stuff is listed and some others are already "out of stock" like the Blue Ruckus shorts. Apparently they have another drop in May where some colors will come out then so not everything is available right now. That may be when the stars and bars d3 makes an appearance.

I'm not mad, I'm disapointed. Other than the d3
  • 1 1
some shorts and jerseys are nice but that first shirts is ugly hurt my eyes. the helmets are pretty normal and the D2 is ugly should go out of collection and they need to build a D4 fast. Even the D3 start to looks normal. I think they need a helmet with a bigger shell. D3 looks not strong enought for modern DH
  • 3 1
I bought 100% i ripped my tld shirt the first time i wore it.. pretty dissapointed
  • 3 0
That US flag helmet is long overdue. Buyer!!
  • 3 1
Does "full featured" mean they made it bigger to fit my full featured fat ass?
  • 1 1
600 Ypos for D3 Mips in plain black. Time to find a lid that fits like a TL. But not at 600 bucks. Yeah I know my brain bucket is worth it but i buy after each crash or drop. Its foam and some plastic in the end.

Very subdued release, still have my retinas intact. Not enough zigas zags lighting strikes and random colours

Troy Lee gear reminds me of those seedy Ed Hardy t-shirts that all the juiced up mudcrabs wear to the gym.
  • 2 1
 Hahaha yes!!!! Only in aus
  • 1 0
I made the switch to 100% a while back. Troy Lee IMO has been missing the mark for a couple years now.
  • 2 2
The compound jersey 3/4 is what we need more of.
Subdued graphics, nice cut, pocket, functional.
Wish the bib had 3 pockets on back and a fly.
  • 2 1
Bib has 2, does that count? haha. A fly on the bib, hmmmm, I think you're onto something.
  • 1 1
@stikmanglaspell: ya im rockn the rf stash bib. 3 pockets on back all same size.
Bottle, tube n tool, food n towel or misc. Rf has the upper pocket for hydro bag as well but ive nvr used it for that-good for vest/jacket stash tho.
Yes, some other companies have the fly on theirs. Surprised mine has ripped from puln down.
