The 2015 Underworld Cup Pro GRT # 1 NW Cup # 1. Anyway you slice this weekend of DH racing, it was a huge launch for both series. Just a few minutes from downtown Port Angeles the Dry Hill trail network was host to over 600 riders. All of whom were ready to put their energy and love of mountain biking to good use, including Connor Fearon whose fierce time on Sunday set a new course record.

This is the first year the Pro GRT has received UCI points for elite riders. New prestige that brought changes to formatting, course marshaling, and qualifying. Changes, along with the influx of participants, which were handled in stride — a good omen for the rest of the NW Cup series which is back up to a full seven stops this year.

so is there anyone out there that is ready for the unwritten rule or gentleman rule of( if you make up the start gap time to get the f out of the way) it is very frustrating to spend the time money and energy to do an event and have someone blow your run because think they can still win even though the guy behind them made up 15 sec or even 30 seconds its time for a hard standing rule when you hear the guy behind coming to get the HELL out of the way !!! it needs to be a hard rule, anyone else on board

Any racers have suggestions on which cat to choose. Thinking about joining the 30+ crowd, cat 2 or 3. I think i'm pretty fast but honestly have no idea and would be first time racing. Was told to try cat 2 unless you are a total beginner then cat 3. Suggestions?
  • 2 0
You can usually change your cat as long as registration's still open, so you could show up and do a few laps on the cat 2 track and see how you feel and then downgrade to cat 3 if you need to.

Thanks for showing SoCal some love in those pics!!

 Attaboy Ryan!!!!
  • 2 0
The guy with the enduro helmet was coaching. The key to the most laps is race Cat2 and coach your kid in cat3. You just shuttle all damn day.
  • 2 0
The othe rider that went down in the Waterfall was David Kahn not Collin McBride.
