The alarm went off at 2:41 am and it was time to drag my butt out to the curb and wait for Karl and Stan to pick me up and head to the airport for our flight to New Jersey. We picked up Ambrose on the way and were in the air by 7 am. Yep it was early for this guy, but we are stoked to be out here for our first US Open at the Diablo Freeride Park.

Ambrose and Andy will be bringing you the race footage this weekend.
Once in Newark NJ, we met up with Andy Tran who will be helping with the race footage and editing this weekend. Then our Taxi driver took us all over the bloody place while Karl told him that he was going the wrong way. Typically I'd argue with Karl for the sake of arguing, but his iphone was proving that our driver was wrong. We got to our rental car lot and found our sweet Toyota Camry, and honestly no one thought that all our gear was gonna fit in it. Karl again was right (this is killing me at this point) and we filled the car, piled in and went for eats.
After eats it took about an hour to get up to the resort where we checked into the
Appalachian, our home base for the next 5 days. The
X-Fusion crew and
Theo were chillin' in the lobby grabbin' WiFi and talking to their ladies. We got our bad ass room settled and are calling it a night as tomorrow is practice and we need out beauty sleep.
