a snowboard would be a ideal for a guy that lives in south africa! gotta love the americans..
  • 2 0
 completely agree.
  • 1 0
the prizes are decided before hand
  • 3 0
I'm aware of that but i thought it would be super original to make a joke about the americans lack of intelligence..
  • 2 1
Name a place that more technological innovation has come from in the last 100 years than the US?
  • 1 0
dude, who gives a snowboard away at a MTB event? it's retarded..
  • 1 0
snowboard company was a sponsor, and they provided snowboards for prizes. How is that retarded? The race does take place at a ski mountain by the way.
  • 1 0
oh well, if you don't board, sell it! that's what I'd do.
  • 2 0
well scottish guys came up with the tv, whisky, golf and curling etc and since as far as your aware theres only about 5 people in scotland, that means on scale scotland is better at inventing stuff Razz
  • 1 1
Don't get me wrong not hating on the US Open AT ALL. $7500 cash prize to the top pro is awesome, I don't think many countries can top that sort of prize money.
  • 2 1
HA remember the part where I said technological innovation...by your statement Scotland is better at being lazy, drunk, and good at pansy sports... bring those neg props...
  • 2 0
no we're still shit at the pansy sports and that doesn't mean we're lazy but yes we do like to drink but thats understandable when the weather is shit all year. what technical innovations are you talking about out of curiosity? you do realise that i just thought it would be fun to start an argument with some guy on pinkbike one when i was bored yeh? and you get positive probs because im a nice guy like that!

The Moto guys put a lot more on the line and they DONT get much more than that for a win, Sad really.
  • 1 0
eh they get a lot more than 7500. theres some local races up here in the NW that put out more than that to first for a riders
  • 3 0
Put more on the line??? I think that independent of the racing sport, the boundary between injury and surviving is always being pushed.
  • 2 0
yea i can agree with aude03 as to the amount being put on the line. After racing moto for a long time DH is just as gnarly. In a different way but its still crazy gnarly! moto does cost more though.
  • 1 0
Don't get me wrong I have all the respect in the World for DH racers but no way that they risk what a Pro Motocrosser / Supercrosser risks when there out on track. It's not a slight it's just reality. Risk = Reward, unless you make your living riding dirt bikes.

  • 2 0
Podium was delayed a bit and Gee had a flight to catch.

  • 1 1
holy crap, he got Polish Belvedere Vodka! oh crap there's nothing to be proud of... but well since I already stepped into the poo of stereotypes, I'm sure he liked it as no other will taste better, (ok Russians you are skilled lads too Wink )

Awesome filming and edit. It's cool to see some of the technical sections in slow mo so that you can appreciate the skill level and finess that the pros have.
