Majestic mountains, cows all over the place and tonnes of cheese and chocolate. That's pretty much how the scenery around Velosolutions' latest asphalt pump track in the picturesque little town named Zweisimmen, Switzerland can be described.

Located in in the region of Gstaad and in the middle of the Swiss Alps, it was clear that the opening had to be a special one. And so it was. Gstaad-Scott team rider Brendan Fairclough showed up and was joined by the French pump track machine gun, Adrien Loron and Mr. Course Preview himself, Claudio Caluori. The guys were stoked and so were the kids - even if at some point they were happy about the pros getting tired, so they could finally ride by themselves...

Would love to see this in Sydney, but we can't even keep well established trails open....

Note: Claudio Caluori is the guy behind the company (velosolution) building these pumptracks. The environment in Zweisimmen is great but the bikepark they built in Zurich is even better :

Wow, another beauty! I wish I could get one of these in my town. I wonder how much the price could be trimmed with volunteer help...

I wish those were around when we were kids but they were not so we had to skate in parking garages and be unaware of the fact that mountain-bikes could be fun.

A neighbour (who was a teacher) had a "Kettler Alu Town & Country". I would have loved to have one of those tanks, but it didn't cross my mind that youl would go off road with these.

Much later we went down the ski slopes with'em, no clue what we were doing, just hanging low and far behind the real weel :-)

Off to Zweisimmen for the week-end!

looks amazing but I don't get why in Zweisimmen, rather do it in cities, not in the middle of a mountain town where there's potential all arround and where there will be 3 kids per week using it. I guess money and free space decide.
