Video: Celebrating the Recently Closed 'Back Country' Bike Shop in the French Riviera

Located on the French Riviera in Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Back Country was one of the region's leading bike shops for several years.

In 2017, it was one of the first French dealers to have the Transition Bike Company 2018 line-up for a test day.

Unfortunately, a few months later, it closed its doors due to various constraints, and other professional opportunities for the owner: Guilhem Torres.

This video was shot during these tests but wasn't supposed to take this format, it is now simply an assembly in memory of moments of fun, of riding & other stuff in the company of passionate people.

 For how many years that store existed?? )

 It existed for 10 years if my memory is correct ! At it creation it was located in Grasse, and when Guilhem Torres became the owner the shop moved to Mandelieu-la-Napoule (just a the bottom of the trails.)

 So, now there will be just some othe bike-shop, right?

 @ka81: Exactly. You'll find the "NTC" bikeshop in Pegomas for example... and then the
"La Roue Libre" Bike-shop in Nice and Cagnes and others

 So, some bike-shop that existed just for 5 years (as video says) closed (and there are others nearby), and that's the reason to make videos, celebrating, article on PB,.. ?

 @ka81: Why not? still better than no reason at all after all.

 @ka81: What's your point ?

The article in the end is not really about this "misfortune", it just a video edit with a "story"..

All the images came from a video shoot that was initially about the Transition Bikes 2018 line-up. Then with the shop closing those images were "lost" but got asked to publish them in "memory of goodtime" and just tried to make something with the riding images we got.

Got your point but with all due respect, we do not need your approbation on the matter.

Cheers,
