After a year hiatus, Diamond level FMB slopestyle returned to British Columbia with the worlds best riders sending their biggest tricks on the brand new course at Silverstar. Catch all the action here.
I'd love to see more encouragement on variety. Repeated tricks score less, even if combined with different rotation. T-whips and bars getting thrown on nearly every jump in a single run.
Slopestyle has definitely changed but I don't get how people are pissed at what it's become. It's more of EVERYTHING: bigger jumps, unimaginable tricks, more combinations... If you want massive straight airs there's still lots of that out on the interwebs, but the 10-15 year-old kids at the dirt jumps yesterday were working on triple & quad trucks, so that's where the world of DJ and SS is headed, like it or not...
Maybe I'm getting stuff wrong way, but as I see it, Nowdays the main focus is on the media and not about spectators right? Because Covid etc..., So there's not much crowd, but then you go watch the highlights (that used to be all time favorite vids), and you see a video with semi coverage of the runs, no full runs of podium, no crashes, no real aspect of the highlights of the day, and weird music that I don't know any rider listens to. I guess at least it's in Bold headline and good cover picture to get much views?
If everything on here related to how "most of us ride" pinkbike would be the blue trail they put in REI parking lots to test bikes. Thanks Outside+ TM!
