Crosby is a 5 year old shredder living right by the trailhead to Tiger Mountain in Washington State. Lucky kid! This is his first video part and he loved filming it. Check out his fictitious route to school across Tiger Mountains Lower Predator and around Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park. Crosby loves to go fast and send big drops. Right now he is receiving rider support from Oneal Racing. He is only 5 but riding black diamond features in Whistler and the PNW. The coming years are going to hold some wild rides. If you like what you see then come check him out on Instagram as the @washington_outdoor_family.

Happy Trails!

no close-up shots of grinding coffee beans and making espresso?? what an amateur "getting ready for ride" edit. pffft

but seriously, this kid is 5 and probably hits features I wouldnt hit. cant believe how good kids so young are.

Check out Harry the Beast 2010 on instagram If you want an incentive to trade your bike for Star Wars collectors items

Kids are good, but then again I couldn't afford a bike until I was almost 20.

 Kid needs a hair cut.
  • 3 0
@WAKIdesigns: Harry makes me feel worthless, everytime i watch one of his videos! The kid is unreal.
  • 6 3
@Backindasaddle: my goal for 5 years ahead is to be as good as Harry was at 8.
  • 81 2
Back in my day I rode 10 miles to school. In the snow. With no air in the tires or shoes on my feet.
  • 86 1
Pfffft - luxury. I rode 15 miles to school - uphill both ways - while dragging my 6 brothers an sisters in a red wagon with three wheels.
  • 60 0
@dv8416: 3 wheels huh? What's that ivory tower like?
  • 24 0
@shaowin: I WISH we had an ivory tower. When I was little towers were made out of old clothes that were handed down from cousins and older brothers.
  • 36 0
@rrolly: handed down clothes? That must have been nice. We used to use old newspapers as winter coats and tissue boxes as boots.
  • 26 0
I only had one tire to share between both wheels on my bike.
  • 33 0
@gofastdrinkbeer: Newspapers! When I was young we just rolled in the mub and stuck grass to ourselves for insulation.
  • 16 0
We have now gone full caveman.
  • 3 0
This made me lough sooo hard! @Allen82:
  • 28 0
@Allen82: Mud and grass? Oh to live like such princesses. We used to freeze a layer of gravel to our bodies for warmth and protection.
  • 1 2
 lmaooo
  • 5 0
I did all that stuff through glass and scorpions
  • 6 0
 @dv8416: uphill both ways.
  • 16 0
luxury..... I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah
  • 13 0
@expat: how nice it must have been to have a mother and father...I was raised by wolves and had to hunt for my food before i could even walk.
  • 13 0
@nyhc00: wolves . . . when I was young our neighbourhood was so rough we ate our wolves.
  • 4 0
When I was young my brother used to make me walk backwards to school, otherwise he would beat me up! People used to just point and laugh :O(
  • 1 0
@rh00p finishing your sentence: "and I liked it that way..."

Ok, good on the little guy, impressive riding and all and I’m sure it was a lot of fun for him to do this edit. And yet I can’t help but feel that in a world already full of people in love with themselves we needn’t encourage little kids to care about video edits of their riding. Maybe I’m too old.
  • 15 1
 Better this than selfies.
  • 3 2
 I agree completely.
  • 3 2
 @gnarnaimo: so.....moving selfies.
  • 8 5
Totally agree. This kid is five. He should be playing outside and riding (assuming he wants to and isn't being pressured into it). This edit feels like it's more about the Dad then the kid
  • 12 1
Not too old, but maybe too grumpy (or jealous?). If dad and son had fun filming and editing together, what is wrong with that? Kudus to the father for spending time with his son and having fun together!
  • 9 0
I’m normally a miserable bastard who would agree. But actually, this is just showcasing some amazing talent from a kid who probably does just absolutely love to ride his bike with his family! Plus some of the stuff he was hitting was so very impressive. He’s like a little pinball in them rock-gardens!! \m/ Good n him I say!
  • 7 4
 @anavot:

Nothing wrong with riding with dad and having fun. I object to uploading a video to the public. What’s the point? Internet fame? Why does everything have to be shared online is beyond me.
  • 6 8
@Brklss: Ah, so why are you sharing your pointless opinion? Internet fame? Its a dude who made a fun video with his kid. Yall sound like bitter old women. Kid has a smile on his face. He obviously is good at riding and looks like he has fun doing it. Nobody said the kid cared about the video edit. You cant complain about how the world is ‘in love with themselves’ while also giving your POS opinion about someone you have never met. Its a catch 22 to do what you are bitching about. You are not old, just jealous.
  • 7 1
@AnotherSender: Bitter old _women_ eh? Bitter and old weren't good enough, so you had to add 'women' because that makes it worse for you. Nice. Talk about a pointless opinion....
  • 54 0
Daddy was standing ready with a balance bike, while mom was in labour.
  • 7 0
I bought my first son a pair of the smallest 5.10 Freeriders they made almost four years ago... and they’re still too big for him!
  • 5 0
 @IntoTheEverflow
You're not that far away from the truth.

I bought Commencal 12 for my older son when he could barely walk and Commencal 16 shortly after his 3rd birthday.

It's a great time to be a mtbiker and even better one to be a kid. Big Grin
  • 40 1
Really impressive riding! Imagine how good he could be if his parents fed him some breakfast Wink Smile
  • 26 0
And if he didn't have to go to school when no one else was there. 2018 parenting is so sad.
  • 7 0
 Intermittent fasting
  • 32 0
Those drops are literally twice his height. Think about the scale of what hes hitting when you're 5 year old sized.....
  • 8 0
I'd probably be more inclined to hit proportional sized features if I was as flexible and healed as quickly as a 5 year old.
  • 24 0
I want to see the edit of him riding back home.
  • 3 0
Lol - dam you - made me spit my coffee out reading that comment.
  • 2 0
Why do you want to see a video of a truck ride back home? It's boring...
  • 1 0
 @giopk70: that was my point.
  • 17 2
The switching between trails on tiger and duthie gave me cognitive dissonance
  • 11 2
dishonesty in video themes is a bummer to me...
  • 2 0
that shitline down to the road at the end had me actually real life stoked for him (even though it probably didn't end right at his school)
  • 16 1
5 year old has a better bike than I do. WTF
  • 9 0
And is a better and more ballsy rider than I am. Horses for courses I suppose!
  • 10 0
If I were a grumpy old bastard, I'd say he'd be better off starting out on a pink and yellow Decathlon bike handed down from his sister.
  • 1 1
Ah shit, I was gonna say that.
  • 9 0
Welcome to the Facebook generation son! it's all downhill from here on in. (sic)
  • 11 2
My ass would be dead if I walked threw the house with my shoes on. Kids these days get away with anything and everything
  • 19 4
He's in Washington. Americans are filthy people.
  • 22 14
@Dethphist: correct. Not only do they bring the shit they step in into the house, they put it in the Oval Office. I reckon we invade them. In French.
  • 13 8
@BenPea: Haha good luck with that. Don’t worry next we will make France great again.
  • 5 1
@BenPea: Bring wine and we will help you! Razz
  • 2 1
@BenPea: can’t argue with you there
  • 4 1
@BenPea: invade us with what? your white flags?
  • 10 5
great riding and enthusiasm from the lil dude @washingtonoutdoorfamily
just remember you cant really ever undo concussions, and this will surely get him an early start on those.
  • 4 0
I recall my childhood being just like this. Actually I rode a pink splatter-painted Huffy on snowmobile trails and it only left the ground when I was crashing, but I felt like a hero and had a grand old time. More kids on bikes!
  • 4 0
Nice riding dude! That’s sweet! I’m going to show this to my 3 year old. He likes watching kids ride bikes more than he likes watching professionals ride. Thank you for making this.
  • 6 0
5 years old and he is riding like that?! This kid is the future! So rad!!
  • 6 1
Friggin hell hes a right beast!! Our little man won't even pedal his own bike and he's 3, lazy sod!!
  • 4 0
 Nice edit.

Why is the rear suspension on that little fully hopping so much? Looks to me that little from could have done that all on a hardtail.
  • 1 0
because it's got his 2019 rampage suspension tune!?
honestly i thought it was a hardtail till i read your comment and looked back. it does look too stiff, maybe lockout was on.
also little legs and short travel cant swallow obsticles like a bike between a rock and a fat man.
  • 15 0
It's got a terrible sprung to unsprung weight ratio.
  • 4 0
@panaphonic: Laughed so hard dude, but it actually probably does.
  • 1 0
My recollection of kids bikes is they were much worse than adult bikes.
  • 1 0
When we got one of those bikes I took the rear suspension pivots apart and properly torqued them. Made a huge difference, too tight from the factory. He's 50 pounds now and I run about 80 pounds in the rear shock to keep it from bottoming hard on landings.
  • 4 0
All Pinkbikers watching this video thinks that bike bike has the worst rolling resistance and doesn't have space for a bottle cage.
  • 1 0
True, but it doesn't look flexy or like a Session.
  • 3 0
Colorado transplant too. You won’t be missing Colorado for long little dude. The snows deeper, the trails sicker on the nw side.
  • 3 0
Great job Crosby/ family it was cool meeting you guys and watching Crosby progress at the races, definitely most improved racer this year
  • 3 0
Who else was disappointed he didn't exit through that giant dog door at the beginning of the edit?
  • 3 1
You can see the kid frothing at the mouth with stoke just before he gets on the trail....The force is strong in this one.....
  • 2 2
What a great way to raise a little guy in today's world. The old boring person in me hopes that he doesn't really do that commute to school for fear no one would be able to help him in case of a serious crash. But I'm sure the title of the clip is tongue-in-cheek.
  • 3 2
Nice little ripper. I’d put a collar on that kid to protect his neck, use pads and armor during all rides, he’s got a long riding future, need to prevent injuries esp to growth plates.
  • 3 0
Super awesome and very lucky kid
  • 2 0
Actually, kids sometimes are made after a rubber failure, no way would Maxxis want a patent on that !
  • 2 0
nice, very nice,5 you say ?,it’s getting ridiculous, what a sport we will have in a phew years
  • 1 0
Man, I'm still going to school and it would be so sweet to get to school like that! What a lucky kid! Looking foreword to more edits from this grom.
  • 1 0
5 years old and already got more sponsors than me! Also has more skill, better line selection and can jump.... so fair do's I guess. Keep shredding little dude
  • 2 0
 Well done Crosby ????????????????
Miss you guys at VBP. See ya in whistler next year.
  • 1 0
For sure bud! Impatiently waiting for opening day.
  • 1 0
Poor kid, riding that and knowing he has to end it for school... wait a minute, it's the same for me every Sunday and work on Monday Frown
  • 3 0
I rode the bus for an hour to get to school..... Lucky kid!
  • 1 0
ach men, we all dream to have kids like that who share our passion, and may push it further than we do. Smile
keep pushing, kiddie.
  • 1 0
Best video on here - This is the dream for all kids, young and old, male or female - A commute to work or school like this. Brilliant. #goals
  • 4 2
For my fifth birthday, I got a five speed, AND UNCONTROLABLY RAPED THE GEARS FROM DAWN UNTIL DUSK.
  • 2 0
I’ve ridden every one of those trails/features, and not as smooth. This kid shreds.
  • 3 0
Where are the houses right by the Tiger trailhead? I want to buy one...
  • 2 1
It's a 7 minute drive from our property.
  • 3 0
www.zillow.com/preston-issaquah-wa Here's where! And there will be trail access to Preston in Phase 4 of Tiger.

Keep your Evergreen membership current and donations welcomed by them!
  • 2 0
@boxxerace: Want. I’m sick of I-5 standing between me and my favorite rides. Haha.
  • 3 0
@DrPete: You mean the great Inter-parking lot of I-5 and 405? Yeah, me too.

That said, if you are on the North end like me, North Mountain in Darrington will give us that well needed Raging River type fix with a shuttle option to boot! Trail building all winter over there for a grand opening this summer.
  • 3 0
@boxxerace: I’m down south near Tacoma. I suppose I’m stuck for as long as Uncle Sam owns me since the commute from Issaquah to JBLM wouldn’t be pretty. Smile
  • 1 0
@DrPete: You've got some pretty cool stuff more down your way. Do check out the trails in and around Mount Saint Helens and Rainier!
  • 1 0
Just watched this with my 2 y.o. daughter who's learning how to ride a balance bike and now she wants to go to school just so she can bike to school.
  • 2 0
Wow! Seriously impressive cornering skills as well. We will watch your career with great interest young jedi.
  • 2 0
Bright future ahead! Keep having fun!
  • 1 0
I just took the training wheels off my 5 year old sons bike last month......meanwhile this kid is shredding.
  • 1 0
Training wheels??? Those really teach bad habits. Strider (Kokua) directly to a Spawn Yoji. Did two rides without pedals to get his balance and hand brakes down, then put on the pedals and he was off!
  • 3 0
 @nuttypoolog:
I thought about getting him a balance bike, but he was getting throw away pedal bikes every year from family.
My little dude is doing pretty good without the training wheels now though.
  • 1 0
We’re lucky enough to get to rip with Crosby and his dad on a regular basis! Amazing kid on and off the bike!
  • 4 2
 Bruh literally Jackson Goldstone 2
  • 1 1
I think he had an edit going to pre school on a balance bike. I bet this kid gets signed sooner.
  • 7 5
My bro Randy hit that trail when he was 2.
  • 1 0
C'mon mom and dad... stop being so cheap and get your kid a dropper post! Awesome to see this kid ripping it up though.
  • 1 0
That five year old has a nicer bike than I do! Hahah And a nicer commute to the days business. Cheers mate!
  • 2 0
 This is amazing!
  • 1 0
What kind of bike is that and wheel size? I got a six year old ripper
  • 2 1
Thanks PB! He’s stoked to go ride today.
  • 3 1
 Awesome

Little shredder could use a nice lid.....
  • 1 0
@justincs: Just got our 8 year old a D3 carbon mips and he complained about how heavy it is. 4 foot tall and needs a size medium might be part of it.
  • 2 0
 When I was 5 I......
  • 1 0
 That trail looks sooooo goood
  • 5 0
Except that it's actually several trails quite far apart from each other randomly stitched together
