NOBL stands for "Not On Banned List" in maritime shipping terminology....that's your little sliver of useless information for the day.

 Appreciate that

fo real. I got incredibly stoked until about 5 seconds in when I realized this is NOT Mt. Washington.

As much as I love the bike parks, the actual Mt Washington in NH would be more "raw" riding
  • 5 2
And here I thought it was going to be some remote Oregon riding.
  • 4 0
Uhhh - it's Mt. WaRshington, guys.

Ridiculous. Mt.Washington, BC has had a bike park for about 15 years now. It's held such events as the Bearclaw invitational Slope Style, and the annual Steve Smith Memorial Downhill race. Americans don't own the Mt.Washington name...

@mammal: I think Mohawkmatty was jokingly pointing out that there a lot of Mt Washingtons. I don't think they were laying exclusive claim to the name on behalf of any particular mountain.
  • 17 8
@mammal: highest point in the us northeast, world record high winds, first observed by a European in 1524, first European ascent in 1642, US oldest maintained and used trail 1819, worlds first cog railway 1868, racing up the hill includes cars (oldest race in the US), runners and cyclists. So yeah, it’s a big deal.

The one in Vancouver? It’s home to a rare marmot species, ski resort and manages to have less elevation and prominence than the one in the US.

@mammal: @mammal: look at the Canadian getting all confrontational... shouldn't you be apologizing to someone for something
  • 5 1
@ridintrials: @ridintrials @pmhobson @mamma @DHhack @Mohawkmatty @tommy85 Our Mt. Washington was named after a dude that explored the Vancouver Island area back in the 1800's. He was in the British Navy, so no relation to your Mt. Washington which was named after that president guy.
  • 4 1
@DHhack: So that means Mt.Washington BC isn't a significant mountain biking area? I was only stating that yankees shouldn't expect that everything's going to be about them. Pinkbike is in BC, so is Mt.Washington. Get over yourselves.
  • 2 4
@ridintrials: Just confronting people who can't look past their own backyard... Sorry for pointing out the obvious.

I was about to load up for a trip to NH! Saying-" WTF; there's a bike park on that BEAST!!!"
  • 2 3
@mammal: no not really that notable unless you’re local.
  • 2 3
@DHhack: Is the mountain biking on Mt.Washington more notable than a bike park that's been open for 15 years, hosts national championship DH races, and has hosted world class slope style comps? Right, you haven't heard of it, so I guess it must not be notable.

 Rawwwwwww......
  • 3 2
@mammal: Confronts people about looking at their backyards by looking in their own. Brilliant!

@mammal: ooh nationals. Like I said, not notable unless you’re a local. Same as most of the places here that have hosted nationals, or most any other country really.

@Bomadics: Which of our Mt Washingtons though?
  • 1 0
@pmhobson: The tallest one out on the east coast, y'know the most famous one. I know you have many Mt. Washington's, we were just worried about the two, but if you feel the need to list them all, go right ahead!
  • 3 0
@DHhack: does the “highest point in the us, northeast, world record high winds, first observed...blah, blah” have a lot of mountain biking? I mean this is a mountain bike site, so there’s that.

And Vancouver is a city. Mt Washington isn’t in Vancouver or even on the same land mass.

@Starsky686: see @rkstar 's post above. There are a lot of trails on mt washington and surrounding areas...it's in the white mountains national forest. There is some good backcountry riding, with plenty of hike a bike as well. That's what I meant by more "raw"..more backcountry over untamed trails versus a bike park..which can sometimes be amazing and sometimes not if it's way too rocky and unrideable.

@DHhack: don't forget all the deaths!!! (135 it think) just added another one last weekend

HAHAHA that steez neez at the end.

Watch out, the bow legged head turn might become slopestyle's new greatest trick!
  • 5 1
Arguing with Americans about why they arnt #1 at something is absolutely pointless, we are Canadians and could kick any Americans ass on any mountain any day of the week. We could ride a shopping cart down Mnt Washington faster than any of you yanks could ride your fully rigs, btw I’m not sorry and don’t your guys have some guns to buy or something?

 User name checks out.
  • 6 1
the first 5 seconds were no riding.
  • 3 0
You're not paying attention. He was already riding after 3 seconds. That said, the last 3 seconds weren't riding too so indeed, ask your money back Wink !
  • 2 0
@vinay: ahhh got me, guess I'll need to have 56s of riding in the next one but still call it 53s Raw to make up for it
  • 1 0
@maxmcculloch nice work, super smooth.. nice manual off the wood on back in black.. question-> what jump / trail was that 1st big send? Washy is much under rated.. small lines, no ridiculous mask rules, decent trails.. its no Whistler granted but damn good nonetheless.

Cheers and totally! It's super fun up there. That huck was on the upper portion of the green trail.

I was calling BS from here in New England until I hit the link. I wish they would build a bike park on Mt. Washington N.h. It would be crazy!!!

Is that a Felt Decree with a custom paint job he's riding? Or that new Rossignol bike that's based on the Decree design?
  • 4 0
 New bike!
  • 2 0
If you pause the video at 14 secs it says Rossignol on the downtube.
  • 1 0
@ridintrials: I was wondering too, I like the paint.
His instagram shows the frame. It's branded Rossignol, which bought Felt a while ago, I believe?

I see that the wheels roll like all the others, did they not wanna absolutely smash them in a rock garden?
  • 4 0
A little bit of NOBL rock garden action for ya: www.instagram.com/p/CFF5FunAQvv/?igshid=1f6mi887d73cq

@maxmcculloch: If I saw this in an add instead of all the sweet steeze (not that I don't like it) I would be more inclined to buy them. Especially considering carbon wheels haven't had the best track record in bike parks. Not that they're built any worse but alloys but the difference in how they two materials fail
  • 3 0
@monkeybizz: good to know, might have to make the next video a tech one! It's what I ride most of the time anyways.
  • 2 0
@maxmcculloch: that would be sweet Smile
  • 1 0
@maxmcculloch Great riding Max! I gotta get back up there. Come ride with me on Hornby sometime!
  • 2 0
I love these kind of edits. Fight me.
  • 1 0
Wrong, you can't hear anything over an i9 hub.
  • 1 0
actually they are 47 seconds... first part is bike park postcard
  • 1 0
Man how did he know what I look like jumping for that last one lol?
  • 2 0
