My toddler goes to a pretty demanding preschool, and has a lot of other important responsibilities like drawing, napping, throwing temper tantrums, etc. We find that he gets just as much practice balancing and rolling as his less-fortunate little friends who don't (yet) have e-balance bikes, but in the limited amount of time he has available. It's a game changer!

These have been around for a while now, they even have spec races for kids at most motocross/supercross events. They are huge in moto families for getting kids going early.

@endoguru: that's an interesting perspective on what are literally low powered motorcycles or at best mopeds.
Just like trail advocacy and land access, if enough of us make enough noise they will end up being classified as the motorized cycles they are.

It would actually be really good if more people knew about the KHS XXL bikes past their long headtubes. There are no other stock options available for anyone over 6'5" and the 747 Road and BNT MTB are about the only 'affordable' offerings before things hit custom builders like DirtySixer, Zinn (who designed the KHS) or Nicolai.

While there are certain compromises on many XS bikes, there are at least good performance options. The world of MTB for the very tall is a grim place indeed. I saw what my 6' 10" friend's local shop did to stuff him onto a stock XL just to sell a bike, and it made me want to go kick everyone there in the junk. Tall folk deserve better.

I wonder how many times he pronounced it wrong before the guys at the L-TWOO booth corrected him. Good manufacturing quality though.Tange tubing had to do that also. Everyone in bike stores in english speaking countries think its like you say, Flange... but its actually pronouncedTong Gay. Back to L-Twoo, I got their GR7 1x10 gravel mechanical brifter and rear derailleur set delivered to Ottawa from AliExpress for $124 CAD. Now it doesn't have a clutch in the derailleur at that price but it is compatible with up to a 50T cog and there is a fairly strong spring in the cage to maintain chain tension. Their 1x12 gravel group however does have a clutch in its derailleur, and can be had with hydraulic brake calipers for about $500 CAD.

Tange is a Japanese company, so pronounced tan-geh, not tong-gay. The latter reminds me of some Northern English martial arts folk mangling Japanese with their broad Yorkshire accents.

Stacyc are pretty popular here in the USA. Putting my kid on one as a toddler and taking him on tons of rides with a MacRide seat were mazing for jumpstarting his passion for riding and skillset.
