To Send the Search is to be relentless in your hunt for epic. Kenny Smith and his ragtag crew are all-in on this 8-day adventure into the wild unknown. Hawgin’ the Chilcotins takes a band of brothers, drops them into a land of bears and insect armadas, and shows us what true “send-it-and-see” commitment looks like.

Here I thought getting outside one's comfort zone was taking the couch and not having a proper IPA to choose from.

Bikephawgin' is the essence of mountain biking; the rest is merely recreation...

Can't decide what was gnarliest in this awesome sufferfest... Bears look nice and friendly compared to the hordes of nasty mega flies.
  • 1 0
were those flies or some form of blood sucking creature?

Chilcotin truth! Thanks for showing all aspects of it guys.

This has Woj written all over it. If you're the camera schlepper and editor, nice work. And to all the boys, well done. Looks like a helluva proper adventure. Type 2 rules.

its pretty clear to assume these riders are in the "character builder" phase of their lives and forays like this are essential.
otherwise you just dont have enough stories to tell later in life around the campfire.

 Gotta be fake
Who would carry glass bottles of beer on a trip like this not cans?!

And a lot of skidding and schralping for being in the backcountry with limited parts resources.

Awesome. Finished a 4 day last week and this is sooo accurate. "I'll just pull over here and die". Hahaha.

I thought the narration was perfect, son.

Without the narration this was just a bunch of dudes riding bikes in a cool place. With the narration, this was hawgin'.

 @KLandry:
oh were you living under a rock this year? there was a ton of forest fires from people not putting out there fires.
  • 3 0
@flyingingweasel: it rained on them every day, so context is everything. if you are wet and cold in the backcountry, from you know rain, fires are pretty essential and the risk manageable.

100% agree with yah if they were cooking weiners and smores at Joffrey Lakes but warding off hypothermia and drying gear makes sense to me.
