13 of Norway's best XCO riders escaped from the cold winter, to Benidorm on the Spanish coast for a ten-day training camp just before Christmas. The camp was filled with long rides in the sun, and some high intensity race simulated training sessions in a nearby forest. All the riders were between 18 and 23 years old, and is a part of a new strong generation of Norwegian XCO riders, who are aiming for the World Elite. 2018 proved that Norwegian riders are something to look out for in the coming years on the men's side as well as the women's. With Petter Fagerhaug taking the overall win in the U23 XCO World Cup, and four riders among the top 10 in La Bresse, the future is looking bright, despite the retirement of the legendary Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå.

First video I’ve seen that did a good job of showing climbing and cadence for what it really is, badass and the majority of what we do when we ride, well a lot of us anyway

Thanks for the nice feedback! Its often hard to show the intensity and power of climbing, but i think the result ended up pretty good.

Dude with long hair forgot his bike.

And helmet. Still has his shorts though.

Ruomors say, he is still running around in that forest looking for his bike.
  • + 5
He's running after the dude who stole his bike.

That was a great little vid.

"Shredit" is a bit of a stretch. Definitely a group of beastly young up and comers though.

I would attempt to translate his motivational words but the music was too loud.
  • + 2
He says something like: "Come on, sprint all the way to the top!"

Easier said than done though...

This must have been laundry day. Mix and match what evers in the riding drawerSmile Good climbing shots.

Hahaha, thats a good one Big Grin Most riders are from different clubs, and the camp was not organized by the federation. But we will take it into consideration until next time Wink

Will the man bun ever fade into obscurity??

@SigurdSP: Comment wasn't a dig at you guys or a way to downplay what are clearly significant skills on the bike- more a reflection on the way "shredit" was used to advert the video. "Shredit" often refers to a looser and more aggressive style of riding than was portrayed in the video.

He also remembered his Sunglasses to keep the dust out at speed!

After watching till the end, i'm still confused on where the shredit part is
  • + 7
The shredit part is in their legs after blasting those hills
  • - 3
where's the shredding part? XC is by far the lamest MTB discipline...
