Video: Ali Clarkson's Best Of 2021

Jan 1, 2022
by Alastair Clarkson

I think we'd all agree that 2021 still wasn't the "normal" year we hoped for but for a lot of people bikes still provided freedom and an escape from the madness that's prevailing, certainly that's been the case for me and I spent 2021 carrying on with my weekly vlogs exploring the UK and pushing my Trials and MTB skills right to their limits.

For the end of the year, I decided to put my favourite clips together in one video as a celebration of the fun I've had, from finding the best MTB trails in South Wales with good friends to pushing my technical Trials riding on my own in the woods. I had too many good times and it was tough to decide which clips to use (especially as my hard drive containing my raw clips broke) but I'm pleased with the outcome and I hope it was entertaining for you too.

I'd like to thank all my friends I've ridden with this past year, old and new. My Patreon followers who's support is a great help in making these videos a reality and of course my sponsors who also make all this possible.

Watched the whole video and realized I’ve seen all of these clips in Ali’s videos already, and was still not let down by the riding LOL. Top notch stuff Ali, looking forward to 2022 content and inspiration!

Although all of your riding is amazing, I find the natural trails riding to be my favourite. I’ve re-watched the video of your multiple lines over the fallen trees so many times, very creative and fluid riding while taking the punishment trials riding serves up.

Cheers Ali from Nova Scotia, Canada!

Time2evolve, any chance you can swing into Digby and have a scallop lunch on the ferry back. I can smell them now.... Oh how we loved the people and culture of Nova Scotia.

such an underrated dude, reminds me a lot of the old school Ryan Leech stuff, sharp, minimal correction hops and really creative stuff...

Agree, have been a fan of Ali C since way back when ObservedTrials.net was still active. So many good examples of riding and a ton of good advice over the years. My trials skills are still lacking, but trying to learn those skills improved my mountain biking considerably.

Man, i love seeing your riding! Those following you closely know it has not been a simple year or two, but you definitely still have it in spades. Keep the good stuff flowing.

Great video. Favourite rider at the moment. So much front wheel control on wet trees is unreal!

Ali's riding is always amazing to watch. Love the way he looks at rocks/walls/seats/statues and sees creative, skilful ways to ride them.

Loved this, as impressive as ever. Although to really fit in your best of 2021 you’d need an hour long video!

Where is the trail at 1.17? If it's in the UK I'd like to ride it.
