Can anyone confirm what's going on with the hydration packs? Is there actually a rule that all riders (or at least the elites) must only wear one brand of hydration pack? This seems a pretty crazy rule to have in place, but it would be even more strange if everyone just happened to be wearing the same pack all the time, with no variation at all.
Once you use an USWE you never go back to anything else. The harness and stability is leagues above every other brand. Top Level moto riders wear the same packs. It's the only brand you see because they work!
Having raced the Cape twice, and using a USWE once, and n EVOC the other, I'd never give up my USWE. It just stays put......love the function and fit of it.
This “race” is way to white for country that white make up only roughly 10% of the population. The event host need to limit white riders to smaller share of the total - all sponsors should hold funds until this doesn’t appear as an apartheid event. I don’t think I saw one black African in this video racing. Super disappointed @SouthAfrica - Pinkbike please stop posting South African bike races until there is more diversity in the sport.
I think Morton is partnered with a local.
No different than your annual vacation to a resort in cancun.
The locals can no more afford to stay in a resort than they can an expensive race such as this.
