 This is the best, so stoked for Ben. Coming back from 9 years of not racing WCs, breaking his neck last year, not training properly, AND being a new Dad to go top 40 at a WC is no small feat.

 I love how we can come together as a group of foreigners and cheer for this really great guy. I hope this is just a (re-)start for him and he gets to race many more next year + this saturday

Only "but" for me is, what is the concussion protocol out there?
Sounds like Ben took a big hit to the head in that crash.
I hope he was checked out and given the green light to race by the medics.

 That worried me, too. He said a hefty bang on his head, his vision went weird and he felt floaty while completing the run. Doesn't sound great in head impact/concussion terms.

 What impressed me most was his approach to the big jumps and drops at the top. You never see him hit these kind of features so I am sure it must have been challenging to get over the fear. Congrats to Ben!

 The coolest thing here is he was +11s on a very physical track. Does that mean podium if steep and 0 pedalling?

 That was by far the best race run video I’ve seen- I loved the commentary and how you talked through almost every corner. Nice to see that even the fast guys get frustrated about over braking!

Others have mentioned but definitely get yourself checked out for that concussion. Then give her some beans for the next one!!

 Awesome, Ben! I was at the spot you crashed in practice and thought the worst. The national jersey threw me a bit during the race. I was expecting the Line Guy jersey you wore during practice.
