Blast from the past. In 1994, Holger Meyer wrote an article on his experience racing the DH world cup in Hindelang for the German "Bike" magazine. It was the year I'd bought my first MTB, and it so happened we were in Hindelang on a family holdiday when the WC took place. Experiencing a DH world cup first hand and then reading about it in said article was the reason I became obsessed with DH racing, and raced for a bit myself. Holger rode for GT at the time, on an RTS, if I remember rightly. It all looked super pro. I don't follow the German bike scene much these days, it's good to see Holger is still part of it.

Bikes, beers and Mates.. that’s why I ride, who cares what you ride. As you do, nice to see an edit with a bit of a different take.

That can not be Surrey Hills, there are no trails there.

Great stuff. All trails are better on an ebike due to the extra runs you can get in, which is the whole point isn't it, rather than wasting time pushing back uphill.
