bigquotesSometimes you wake up to a perfect powder day and instead of doing the logical thing, like say, going skiing... you load your bike up and head to your usual trails for a change to scenery. Enjoy watching the NF crew cruising down the North Shore! Tristan Deggan

Imagine being such a die-hard ambassador of riding without gloves that you'd even ride in 2 foot of snow in well below freezing temps... smh

Even Blenki would have been wearing gloves in that.

Heated grips. I spent 4 hours using my snowblower yesterday with no gloves.

The problem comes when you have no gloves to actually wear

Bikes, snow, a hill and a dog.. is this the best day out imaginable? Smile

 yes

Riding in snow, the trickiest balance there is. In Vermont we maybe have 1 or 2 days where we have fluffy snow on top of dirt where you can actually ride instead of getting completely robbed of your momentum but its a hell of a lot of fun.

How do you keep your pedals from icing over? And brakes? I was riding in snow but kept having to spray deicer on my pedals.
  • 2 0
Ride when it’s colder, snow won’t clump as bad, use platforms, and stop using your brakes; use feet instead ????

I was the only one riding clip pedals and I did have some issues with them, the boys on flats seemed alright. Lessons were learned

@bikeronbowen: @nurseben : I was riding flats, I guess near-melting temperatures would make things worse

Get some skis. Biking with that much snow on the ground is dumb.
