I was so sad when he quit downhill and announced he'd ride EWS, at the time my mindset was that enduro was where downhillers that were slowing down went before retirement. I couldn't have been more wrong, and glad that I was too!

@fabdemaere: If you can't pedal a bit in a low pressure social setting between timed runs, maybe the mountain bike isn't for you.

@endlessblockades: pedalling is super shit though can’t act like it’s fun. Let’s be honest. You’re better off just sessioning corners and pushing your bike everywhere. Well that’s what I do anyway.

@endlessblockades Definitely not getting 5 DH stages in California. Maybe 2-3 Downhills, with a couple of XC/trail sprint-fests

@tobiusmaximum: geez - it's 2019 bit here Wiki: Enduro in its most basic definition is a type of mountain bike racing where the downhills are timed, and the uphills are mandatory but not timed.[2][3][4] Riders are timed in stages that are primarily downhill, with neutral "transfer" stages in between. The transfer stages usually must be completed within a time-limit, but are not part of the accumulated time.

@barbarosza: I am not French I just happen to live in France. I get the fanboy sentiment but words have meaning and I find it annoying when people miss use them e.g. how trail riding is now called Enduro when Enduro is just a race format.

Best style eva.... looks like hes on a Sunday stroll and may be lucky to finish top 30, but always up there. It's hard to go fast, even harder to go fast and make it look this easy.

I know Mr. Hill would absolutely kill the downhill scene but he’s got higher priorities.
He could easily be a downhill World Cup champion and enduro as well he’s got the mentality and the skills but most of all the balls to go flat out..he’s a father now the downhill scene cannot be taken lightly ...I’m glad he’s happy with enduro!
