Agreed great stuff! Appreciate the detail look at small sections. Gives you a good feel for the nuance of racing these tracks.

 Cathro for Pope!

This is the kind of mtb technique videos I'd love to see more of. There's like 100+ how to bunnyhop videos, but it'd be nice to have a Cathro technique series on how to choose lines, how to approach different turn combos, obstacles, jumps etc

Rob Warner...Big moustache - check. Sleeveless tanktop - check. Mirrored sunglasses - check. He seriously let the side down by not wearing his cut-off Daisy-Dukes...

Rob Warner is actually planning a Village People revival. Looking forwards Smile

Guess you can feel better about running your raw aluminum skinny flat bar from '96. Get over it.

 @youknowitsus: Get over what, mate?
You jumped to the wrong conclusion, I actually run a carbon Fatbar myself! ;D

Carbon bars are resilient unlike cranks and rims since they get hit in a different way and have lots of give. I bet alu bar would snap too. The only issue is why spend more when Renthal fatbar lite 31.8, is light and compliant. Latest regular fatbar is legit too. It’s just the original fatbar that was awfully rigid
  • 1 0
@WAKIdesigns: Latest alu Fatbar is more compliant than the previous one? I've seen Renthal claiming that they feel the same, the new one is just slightly lighter.
Always wondered why most of the sponsored athletes are on alu (even Gwin switched from carbon this year).

@sergeyeremin: latest fatbar is pretty much the previous Fatbar Lite. The first fatbar weighed fricking 400g and had at least 3mm thick walls. Riding it was like holding on to a piece rebar without grips. Like most carbon bars, particularly Race Face. But I was speaking of 31.8. The 35mm alu bars are definitely stiffer in the wrong way while carbon bars benefit from increased clamping radius

@WAKIdesigns: Out of the previous gen I preferred Fatbar Carbon over Fatbar alu for comfort (although it wasn't back-to-back testing, so other variables could've affected the result). Would be interesting to try a new alu one.

lol! Sounds like a song from Turbonegro.
  • 1 0
@SintraFreeride: Yeah, could be.... also when you see the brand new style of Rob Warner with moustache and sleeveless jacket, I wonder if I`m watching Turbonegro or Village People....Probably both Smile
  • 4 0
@Franzzz: I don't get the resurgence of the mustache lately...it looked bad in the '80s and it looks ridiculous now!

I’m glad you were prepared as it’s very cool to see these videos skyrocket in popularity!

I love watching these videos and then taking note of which lines the top riders choose in their race runs, really adds another layer to what's already the best sport ever

Absolutely loving the pre-race coverage this year - with Cathrovision and the track preview with Gee Atherton being standout highlights.
