With a week off between Maribor world cup and Val Di Sole world champs the Kona Factory Team stuck around in Maribor. We found some time in-between training to take the trusty dad-cam down for a run of some off-piste goodness!
Conner's In The Know segment from ages ago is still one of the best shredits of all time IMO. In fact I'm going to watch it again. Right know in honor of this shredit.
arghh, it makes me shake my head. I am so past it not being down with these mtb slang terms, I still think a few "chillers" are some cold beer, rather than false modesty stunt pulling
"Jus a few chillerzz"........guy drops a dumped 360 off a massive cliff
@Sethimus: My bad. I assumed “humid” was an autocorrect for “humus.” If it wasn’t a typo, though, I don’t know what “loam is supposed to be humid” means. Pretty sure it’s the same shit whether it’s wet or dry
Make flat pedals great again - shame no one's consistently putting flats on the DH podium after Hill - would love to see Fearon up on the box again - is it just me or does every flat pedal DH rider ooze style?
Agree that very good flat pedal riders ooze style but the amount of talent to get there is much higher than clips. Also as a converted flat pedal rider I would like that to see some flat pedal riders on the box but I think the level is too high now at WC races and clips just offer too many advantages, a major one being able to charge through chunk without worry of feet coming off.
If I race again and CARE how well I finish I'll probably put flats on a couple weeks prior to race and then race with them. Advantage is significant IMO.
@Brasher: Thanks, I follow WCDH pretty close and totally blanked on Fearon on the podium at Les Gets despite watching his run. He flies under the radar despite crazy skill and talent, great to see.
I really wish Connor would have raced the process x in the world cup seems like he gets along better with that bike since he's been riding it primarily
'Mobbing, as a sociological term, means bullying of an individual by a group, in any context, such as a family, peer group, school, workplace, neighborhood, community, or online. When it occurs as physical and emotional abuse in the workplace, such as "ganging up" by co-workers, subordinates or superiors, to force someone out of the workplace through rumor, innuendo, intimidation, humiliation, discrediting, and isolation, it is also referred to as malicious, nonsexual, non-racial/racial, general harassment.'
I find Urban Dictionary provides the most accurate definition in this case.
Mobbin
1. goin somewhere with a group
2. havin hella folks in the cut
3. the homies
4. goin hella fast
1. yo max, we're mobbin to mickey d's. mishin on foot
2. ay we mobbin in this bitch
3. wats good mobbin
4. i mobbin on the interstate
@Justinbloomington, @ haji1974: in this instance it most closely comes from off-road motor sports, particularly trophy trucks… mobbing in this sense refers to driving through gnarly terrain at very high speed, with some risk. E.g. “mobbing through huge desert whoops at 120mph”.
From the Bay Area - mobbin’ means rolling with your crew in a car preferably some old skool American muscle breaking the speed limit and ducking the law. In regards to this it just means staying off the brakes riding smooth and fast. Faster than you.

That's a WCDH podium.
Where the hell did “mobbin” come from and what does it mean?
