When you use open-pit mining equipment to build jumps you know it's going to be epic!
(Jan 23, 2020 at 3:36)
At what point do we stop calling them jumps and start calling them mountains?!

On that last jump landing could be whole trail for us mortals..

So having less experience with any jump over 4 feet, why do these takeoffs (and especially landings) need to be so much larger/wider than a comparably sized moto jump? Or does the drone camera work just make them look larger?
(Jan 23, 2020 at 6:09)
I believe is for safety, since you gonna have trains of riders trying to trow all the crazy shit they do. So in order to not miss the landing at all, just build them gigantic. And yes, image from drones are normally distorted is some way.

Yeah check last year’s event or some of Sam’s earlier videos from this year, there are clips of people overshooting the landing of the old “last jump”. Now it looks like this year they have built up that landing, so less consequence for going too deep, and then added a new jump right after it. Biggest rhythm jump pairing of all time?

So is it just easier to gauge speed on a moto since you know you need to be wrapped out in X gear?

I'd love to see Semenuk shredding these bad boys !
(Jan 23, 2020 at 6:29)
I would too ! It's a Monster sponsored event, are all the riders Monster athletes ? ( BS is a Red Bull guy )
(Jan 23, 2020 at 7:41)
: Would be sick but will never happen. Risk is to big for little payoff.
(Jan 23, 2020 at 8:37)
: plenty of RB come and play.
semenuk isnt part of the freeride circle.
(Jan 23, 2020 at 10:37)
: it is Monster sponsored but it has had many red bull athletes before. (Carson Storch, Andreau Lacondeguy)
(Jan 23, 2020 at 14:20)
(Jan 23, 2020 at 16:35)
: I'd say any rampage rider is 'in the freeride circle'. some may be closer friends etc obviously.
(Jan 24, 2020 at 14:41)
: andreu is not going there, is going to chile
(Jan 24, 2020 at 16:28)
: i wouldnt classify semenuk as a freerider, let alone in the 'circle'. dude has skills, but i havent seen any of his edits or riding in a true raw freeride type of terrain. its always polished lines, with some mind boggling tricks. id like to see him ride some stuff without a shovel or dig crew.

UFO at 3:57
What's flying off his bike there lol?
(Jan 24, 2020 at 9:30)
I've watched it 10 times and still have no idea haha
(Jan 23, 2020 at 19:06)
Absolutely amazing. The segment with the one dude raking that HUGE lander is amazing......really helps you to appreciate the massive size of these things!
(Jan 23, 2020 at 8:41)
That's a lot of work put in. Great job guys. Can't wait to see what gets thrown down. "If you build it they will come."
