I dunno man, maybe that's a question for the sponsors of the event instead of a comment on a highlight video on PinkBike. I'd love to do this race, it looks like too much fun.

This is an original DH race course. Back in the day they would race down this mountain on hard tails, with little to no suspenison and friction pull brakes. They would hit speeds of 50mph... So yes, it is wide dirt path, but it's a big part of the history of our sport.

I raced it twice in the 90's. Once with V- brakes (sketchy) and the following year with gen one Hayes brakes. Both years my bike computer clocked over 50 mph, 60-80 foot drop off on the opposite sites of the road down a gravel road (marbles ). Today nuts at the time. Sitems it's still a bit crazy today

Dunno, It doesn't seem like the best type of way to enjoy bike riding to me. It's more fear than fun if your actually riding it. Just my opinion though...
