Stoked to see Fin Crush all the Enduro guys with no idea what he was doing ???? Was surprised by Casey too! Might have to update my Fantasy team for the next race
I was expecting finally some raw footage really comparing riding styles... Get bored of some many interviews always on PB videos... when what we really want to see is sick riding. You also can put the voice of the interview on off on his riding..
@paulskibum: Brett Rheeder is both of those, a freerider and a freerider who supposedly "took the season off" from competition in order to focus on filming and maintaining his body. I think if you look real close it comes down to which companies are sponsoring this shindig, they are the ones with riders in the field.
@russthedog: and most of the EWS riders are former JR and Elite DH racers. I think it comes to a point where DH burns you out mentally, its so much focus on 0.1's of a second and bike setup and precision lines. The enduro scene has that competitive drive but in the end the practice and racing are just more fun and less mentally exhausting. I think its a great way for racers to still race but make it fun again after getting to that top level.
@russthedog: Actually considering how "new" enduro is to the racing scene, I would wager that almost all of the EWS pros started in DH racing, well except the few that traded lycra for baggies and came from the XC world.
I thought he was on a sb150, but I think a mullet sb140 would be pretty sweet..
