And that's what I love about mountain biking. Sure not everybody would stop during a race but a lot of bikers would do that to check if the opponent/buddy is ok
The McCauls are just good f*cking peoples. My buddy is a little naive when it comes to his bike skillsets, and before the post office teardown he wanted to go ride them before they were gone. It was the final week and the place was filled with locals and pros alike, and he's hit dirt jumps maybe twice before? The McCauls took the time to get to know him and teach him a few do's and donts of shoveling and digging, taught him some tips on how to hit a dirt jump line, and by the end of his stay there he was actually flowing through a couple of lines. He's been spending like every weekend since dirt jumping and he's learned tables, threes, tucks, etc. Goes to show nice folks can really light a spark in some people, you never know what course you're going to set for someone with the way you treat them.
Overall, super entertaining event, missed Soderstrom because of his injury but a spectacular podium nonetheless. Can't wait to head up to Whistler on Weds to catch the whipoff thursday and joyride saturday!
The McCaul family is one of the best things to happen in freeriding. There's nothing cooler than to see Tyler doing the same stuff as Cam... gnarly stuff pushing the sport while being a really genuine and nice ambassador for the sport. Also this was one of the better speed/style events to take place. It was so entertaining and R-Dog's corked 3s never got boring.
Looked like he didn't want to win that way ether.
Think he want a race to the end. Just the kind of sportsmanship that's good for the youngsters to see.
no ofense for the riders, but... man, that can be way cooler, can be something bigger where more athletes pushing the sport on the trick and course ways. Something like the other sports athletes (like motocrosers or snowboarders) they look at it. I repeat for all the haters, no ofence, but a suicide nohander on a not even 10ft jump cant be a profesional sport nowadays, they should built bigger course and invite bigger riders!!!!! Speed n style is like dual slalom from the 90s + 8ft trick jump when no one is doing crazy tricks, Crankworx is time to step it up!!! shits gettin boring!
im pretty sure the jumps are bigger than 8 feet bud! and it almost seems to me like you didn't watch the video because i saw t mac doing a 360 downside whip or a decade( not really sure ) and other athletes doing flips, spins and other tricks, also there is the main event the redbull joyride for you to watch if you find this boring. Maybe the riders don't want to hurt themselves before the main event so they are being conservative, makes sense?
