As a 35 year old man I’ve never understood knee pads for trail. I can’t remember ever landing onto my knee. It’s my forearms, hands, and shins taking all the abuse. Skateparks and street riding are a different story.
That was a treat! Smooth AF riding and large and in charge bike skills. I’m surprised this hasn’t received more comments, other than the lament about the lack of knee pads, When I was a younger man, I vote vividly recall others punters lecturing me and my crew about perils of climbing without a rope at Joshua Tree and numerous other Cali crags. The answer is still the same - you’ll never understand....
