 @rockyj: Looks like a session.

Complete rebuild needed after splashing his way across those salt deposits! Stunning video though, well worth it : beer:

 @glasvagas: this never gets old

Pole should hire Uri Geller to see if he can straighten that rear triangle.
  • 8 1
Canyon should sack whoever thought of putting him in it.
  • 1 1
@tobiusmaximum: I’m pretty sure that was a stunt double

Looks like him and his giant bent spoon (time capsule)
  • 1 0
Pretty sure he only bends things.... bit of a one trick pony lol
  • 4 0
No, Pole should hire James Randi to straighten that rear triangle bent by Uri...

It's been pretty amazing watching Fabio's meteoric rise to internet stardom. Pretty unbelievable how much content he churns out in such a short span of time. Well deserved.

The helmet swap, tip-o-the-hat tribute to 'Indiana Jones', LOL.

 Fabio for Rampage?
  • 8 1
Speaking of...whats the over/under on number of enduro or trail bikes at rampage this year?
  • 4 0
@Sardine: Is it still a trail/enduro bike if it has 180mm travel(+/-mm) and a dual crown fork? I don't think we'll see anyone who has access to a proper bike ride a trail/enduro bike at Rampage - why would you?

What is he gonna do? Hop down the whole line? No thanks.
  • 1 0
@Sardine: Everything still resumes to bikes, right? Who cares about the type of bike... Just bring it!

Nice video. I was in Jerusalem last summer, it was cool to see him riding around the walls and such. My tip for anyone going to Israel on holiday. If you visit the Dead Sea, get ready for some urethral pain. No one warned me about it and it was a real nasty shock!
  • 2 0
lol from the salt or what?

No thank you, There are float tanks to book in most major Western cities and no risk of reading about Trump bombing someone on one day and getting an Iranian warhead on my head on another. Or just the classic Alla Snackbaaaar! - oh they shot him a round in the face before he pressed the button! Oh it was she? Pregnant suicide bomber. It was a novelty after all!

@Jibofo: It's very interesting actually, the salinity is off the charts. It's the lowest point on the earth's surface, and it's really hot. Therefore all rivers leading to it keep bringing salty goodness, and then most of the water evaporates off. This has been going on for millennia. Obviously if some of that salt gets in your body - eyes, nose, cuts, etc, it's going to sting like a mofo.
Still a totally cool country though and well worth a visit.
  • 3 0
@jaame: and the floor is also salt! it's a surreal experience, more or less like their roads ahahah
lovely country!
  • 2 1
@t-stoff: yeah I would love to go back!

 Isreal desert looks badass
  • 11 0
i wonder what canyon's customer service is going to say when he calls in saying his pivots froze after riding through salt water. and then the wait time on getting new parts.
  • 2 0
I agree, Just sent back a canyon spectral on due to excessive ware in the bearings
  • 1 0
@Ferg2000: sorry to hear. their bikes look so tempting but the lack of support is really hurting them over here in the states.
  • 10 0
 Well that was quick

and the lady at 2:01 doesnt even know what she missed....

Best part was when he dropped into that Canyon

awesome video as always makes you wonder tho insane stunts in the concrete jungle and an open face helmet and a full face in the soft sandy desert???? he aint scared of much i know that!
  • 2 0
Aesthetic choice, it set the tone for the dirt freeride section even though it would have made a lot more sense to wear a full face in urban scenes to your point.
  • 8 1
Great promo video for Israël! They should hire Fabio for their next campaign! Smile

WTF do goats actually eat in the middle east?
  • 9 3
 terroristicles
  • 2 0
Goats for goat cheese, sheep/lamb for meat. But in some countries it’s common to eat goats too.
  • 4 1
Sorry, I didn’t read your question properly in the first time lol. Goats eat weeds and hey.
  • 1 0
@Eden4: What do you do with male goat kids and older female ones?
  • 1 0
 @colincolin: I’m not sure. I don’t have goats.
  • 1 0
Goats don't eat, people eat goats...the end.
  • 1 2
@Eden4: You don't have to be an expert. They're killed and eaten or killed and not eaten.
  • 2 1
@colincolin: if you know then why are you asking?? Stupid.
  • 1 0
@Eden4: Obviously to make ignorant middle easterners mad.
  • 2 0
@colincolin: I’ll answer you seriously though- Jews don’t eat goats, not because of a religious matters but because goats meat is leaner and harder than lamb or beef. We only use goats for their milk, to make a cheese. The Arabs might eat goats but I’m not sure about it. I know goat is a common meat in other countries.

I can’t wait to visit this majestic country
  • 9 1
Sick video!!! I’m glad he had a blast in Israel!
  • 9 1
Shalom and Mazal tov fabio on the new video, cheers.

Can we make a rule that you can only skid to a stop on a beach and stare wistfully over the ocean once per 6 minute video?
  • 4 0
 Great edit! Amazing rider!
Now I understand why Fabio and the Israeli crew didn't want anybody to know where he was shooting.. because at the time he was "still sponsored" by Specialized and probably didn't want anyone to know about his move to Canyon.
Would love to see him (or anybody else) here again!
You're all welcome to visit and see the amazing views and places this country have to offer!
  • 4 0
Am I the only one a little underwhelmed with the riding in the video? Great shots, beautiful scenery, but... I usually spend 90% of his videos saying NOPE. But this time, with a few exceptions, if this is your riding discipline, these are all realistic tricks.
  • 7 1
I will say the canyon sounds significantly better taking the big hits then that Specialized did. Oof
  • 1 0
You just can't lower the seat as far on the torque.
  • 3 0
just yesterday I road my mtb in the desert near to where Fabio shot some of the video. It's been raining even there recentley. and a lot of it is now all greenish. If someone wants to ride... Israeli winter is relatively mild.... and the desert is a real beauty. PM me if you want, i can hook you up with guide and all. instead of crying in the snow and rain, come visit Israel.
  • 4 0
Wouldn't it be great to go onto a bike video and talk about bikes after instead of the neverending conflict between Israel and its neighbors? Awesome video though... how do u put an Austrian in the equation above?
  • 6 0
2 weeks on a new bike and all ready time to swap out all the bearings.
  • 6 1
That looks strange to see Fabio NOT on a Specialized...
  • 4 0
politics aside, beautiful edit. so much to see in israel - i know, i was just there.
  • 2 0
We need Fabio and Danny to make a video together. Two of the best in the world that they do. It would be criminal not to see these two together.
  • 3 0
 They already tour together... Smile

@cool3: haha, the sh!t I learn on pinkbike. I found One video on youtube with both, but I'd love to see a new full production video like this.

I guess a Wallride of Lamentations would have been borderline while he was there... Awesome playground. Thanks

Fabio is like Dannys rebellious cousin Smile

Stoked to see Fabio on canyon. Be able to show how capable bikes like the torque are!

good riding as usual for Wibmer, but all the over editing... and the sounds... meh.
  • 5 3
That chap looks remarkably like Gabriel Wibmer

Really fishing for that Rampage invite! Sick video!!!!
  • 5 3
Id take a boat too. Flying in that region aint safe.
  • 10 0
There's almost 1K miles between Tel Aviv and where the plane was shot, near Tehran. If you really wanna keep safe, stay on your couch, don't answer the phone, stay away from the stove.
  • 2 0
@Clemounet: I know what to stay away from. Maybe the russians have my phone too!
  • 1 0
 I'd take an ebike!
  • 1 0
Fabio, come pick up your rb rampage entry next monday to my office. Cheers
  • 1 0
Really enjoyed that. Loved the hopping between the submerged miniature islands!!
  • 2 0
 What a blast !
  • 3 2
14 days to produce and edit.. thats impressive!
  • 6 0
More like 10 days to shoot and two months to edit. They filmed the video during his 10 day visit in November...
  • 1 0
@mikaru: so, how does that work with contracts? If that was the case he was generating this content while under obligation to Specialized.
  • 2 0
 That was the bomb
  • 1 0
What bike is that? Doesn't look like anything on the Canyon website
  • 2 0
 That was gorgeous.

Specialized and then Canyon. Bearclaw II??
