Countless filmmakers tracked the jaw dropping action at Livigno last week and the result is more than impressive.

For the third time many of the world’s best freeriders have followed Andi Wittmann’s invitation to the FIAT Nine Knights to showcase mountain biking at the highest level. The event location moved to the Mottolino Bikepark in Livigno this year, where it will remain for the next two years.

Skilled filmmakers were on the riders’ tails; constantly capturing the athlete’s performance from every angle. Not only the filmmakers, but also the invited professional photographers took many amazing shots during the weeklong session.

They took part in the photography contest and presented selections of their masterpieces to be evaluated by their fellow photographers in five categories.

These are the winners of the FIAT Nine Knights Photo contest:

The FIAT Nine Knights is not a traditional contest and gives the riders freedom to progress without pressure. Outstanding performances were rewarded during the awards night where the riders judged each other in four different categories after re-watching all the highlights from the week. Szymon Godziek, the Polish machine deservedly took out ruler of the week after landing an incredible array of tricks during the event.

Wish this was an FMB event because the course is so sick, but it would probably ruin the overall vibe.

I agree that it would ruin the vibe of 9 nights but it would be a great idea. I think one of the coolest things about 9 nights is how layed back it is. You just ride what you want, whenever and you don't have to have a major competition feeling to do good there.

i think andi wittmann and co should help FMB to build sick course like this even more next year..
oh ya why not FMB world tour next year maybe held at overseas place like tokyo, shanghai, bali, dubai, south africa, rio or patagonia Smile

And this sums up the spirit of the event pretty well:

"Now tell me what just happened?"
"Yeah...So...I double flipped my downhill bike"

Yeah, no big deal...

The double was pretty cool, but Andreu's flip can and flip Indian air on a DH bike was on another level. He rides a big bike like it's a 450.
