It was a rad day on the hill as racers pushed themselves yet even further for the last time on the old world cup track. Times dipped below 4 minutes after having the top qualifier sitting at 4:03 yesterday.

Shawn Neer looked absolutely hungry for this win as he tore down the mountainside smashing through rocks yet keeping his speed up the entire time. 2nd Place, Shane Leslie got his first podium this year as a pro, coming off an incredibly successful junior season last year.

Jill Kintner extended her GRT win streak to 3 with Jackie Harmony and Samantha Kingshill not too far off the pace.

Bruce Klein felt completely at home floating over all the rocks and roots pinning it all weekend, eventually besting his time by 4 seconds in the finals. He said there was still room for improvement, having overcooked a few corners.

It should be noted Logan Binggeli could've placed 2nd if he had made his start time, & junior Andras Simon would have done exceptionally well (maybe first) had he not missed his start time as well.

A very competitive weekend on the rough track managed to bring smiles of relief once the dust had settled.

That crash right at the beginning is hysterical. I watched it about a dozen times. Hope they are OK.

Ahh the ol' break-your-chain-at-the-start-gate trick! Looks like he wasn't as #blessed as Gwin.

haha...first thing I thought was "This is what happens to real people when chains break!" ...(cuz WC DH'ers aren't real people...HA)

That kid is super talented on a bmx track. His name is Collin Hudson. He's damn fast on a 20"

I think the steepness of the starting ramp made the difference. Gwin's broke on a steep drop-in where as the one at the beginning of this seemed to be on relatively flat ground, needing much more pedaling input, hence otb when the chain went.

Huge congrats to Shawn Neer! What many don't know is that his derailleur hanger was only holding on with a little bit of JB weld after qualifying with no chain.

I never really understood how "Mountain Bike Gravity Tour" abbreviates to GRT. This is the first step in helping USACycling not look dumb.

 Gravity Race Tour...?
