It was a rad day on the hill as racers pushed themselves yet even further for the last time on the old world cup track. Times dipped below 4 minutes after having the top qualifier sitting at 4:03 yesterday.
Shawn Neer looked absolutely hungry for this win as he tore down the mountainside smashing through rocks yet keeping his speed up the entire time. 2nd Place, Shane Leslie got his first podium this year as a pro, coming off an incredibly successful junior season last year.
Jill Kintner extended her GRT win streak to 3 with Jackie Harmony and Samantha Kingshill not too far off the pace.
Bruce Klein felt completely at home floating over all the rocks and roots pinning it all weekend, eventually besting his time by 4 seconds in the finals. He said there was still room for improvement, having overcooked a few corners.
It should be noted Logan Binggeli could've placed 2nd if he had made his start time, & junior Andras Simon would have done exceptionally well (maybe first) had he not missed his start time as well.
A very competitive weekend on the rough track managed to bring smiles of relief once the dust had settled.
