Mahon Lamont went out to film some of his favourite trails with his #VicEnduroCrew riding buddy and everyone's favourite uphill video maker Max McCulloch. Mahon's favourite trails seem to carry one theme and that is lots of ferns and corners. Mahon is a recently graduated mechanical engineer from Whistler, who has worked as a mechanical engineering intern at Rocky Mountain Bicycles in the past. He previously raced XC Canada Cups and marathon xc before switching to Enduro in 2019. Currently he is a professional mountain bike coach for The Cycling Co. in Victoria.

The music is Jet Black (feat. Brandy) by Anderson .Paak.

Thanks to Rocky Mountain Bicycles for the rad Slayer 29 it's the perfect choice for Mahon's aggressive trails.

Beautiful riding and special riding style. A pleasure to watch.
What is the bar width? Looks like wiiiide bars.

Ya, after I made this video I cut them down from the 820mm width. Didn’t feel to wide at the time especially as I usually ride steeper trails (even this trail had steeper parts that weren’t shown. They are down to 790 now

@mahonlamont really nice trails and riding - thanks for that!
looks like you might profit from moving the cleats on your shoes further back - was left w/ the impression that you ride a bit on your toes - but could be wrong ofc (:

@weeesel: again not wrong. I have moved them since, but the cleat positioning comes from my xc past as I can put out more torque with that position. Still not 100% sold on it as now I struggle going uphill on our steep punchy climbs.

@mahonlamont: i c and been there but go used to it pretty quickly but by now riding flats (except on the hardtail) where i got to like the freedom of moving my feet a bit Smile
