Lived in Tarrytown for the last three winters and moved to Los Angeles 6 months ago.
Sprain Ridge. Graham. Blue Mountain. 119. Irvington. I love and miss them all dearly. I remember barely getting to ride at all last winter due to the unrelenting accumulation.
I read recently that fat bikers in the Midwest will snowshoe their single track to pack it down after a storm. Maybe worth a shot?
I do miss that technical, tight northeast singletrack. But I don't miss missing out on weeks and weeks of riding due to too much snowfall.
I grew up in Tarrytown, and worked at Tarrytown Cycles for 8 years! I miss all those spots, I now live in RI so I'm still buried in snow and dreaming of dirt, roots, and rocks lol!
