Taking to the Southern California mountains this summer, the Fox MTB team has been having plenty of fun at Snow Summit’s bike park. Holed up in the “Big Bear Manor” for the week, the house is an opportunity to get the global team together for some riding and filming in the park, as well as feed the Fox design team with real-time input on the latest gear and equipment.
“I thought it would be cool to have a house in Big Bear close to Snow Summit for our global athletes to use for the summer. We’ve been doing product testing and will be working on some video edits,” says Fox MTB’s Mike Redding. “The idea came from our surf team house on the North Shore.”
The first edit from the Big Bear Manor/Snow Summit bike park has just dropped with a ton of great riding and good times. Team riders Cam McCaul, Tyler McCaul, Kirt Voreis and Kyle Strait are featured ripping the trails in the park.

Fox has also signed on as a title sponsor for the 2015 Snow Summit summer season. And Fox Europe also has a house in Morzine at Rude Lodge for the summer.
Snow Summit is Southern California’s only lift-served bike park featuring trails such as Miracle Mile, Party Wave and Westridge, and the green trail that is now open.
Nice little vibe video right there. Looks like those guys are having a good time. Cam just killing it per the usual. Like that little manual out kyle did in the dust bowl towards the end.
Everyone needs a little rain right now. Get those trails repaired and tacky for a few days. LOL!
westridge for air dh, old w/c track for the classic dh, dual slalom and dual speed and style is a no brainer, and the slope style possibilities are endless.
The only problem is that the old World Cup track doesn't exist anymore and none of the trails are gnarly enough for a dh race, and the rules laid down by the national forest department are so strict it's nearly impossible for them to build more trails.
They've put in by-pass lines on Westridge since Father Days this year. Big Bear is still a lot of fun! I'd wish they had better signage to keep the comfort bikes with coaster brakes and ill-fitted helmets off the advance runs, thou. I just feel bad when you roll up on an injured newbie.
Cam missed the memo on bike color. So much skill and style for all these guys and especially when you look at how dry and blown out those trails appear to be.
Actually, the lake is quite full for a drought. Look at Lake Mead or Lake Powell by comparison. 50 ft. below the waterline and ten thousand times the acreage.
Love that there is a Marzocchi in the mix. Gotta be a fan boy and hope the company survives! Frustrated about the progress of Snow Summit. 2 and 1/2 years and no green run to separate the riders, and no challenging runs - just the one and a half jump runs and whatever Miracle Mile is... Bring your dirt jumper!
Pleasure. Also, if you google "mountainbike hydraulic gyro", you will see another option for that, which used to be popular on dirt-jump hardtails, but I doubt they are running them in this vid.
Voreis seems like a teenager trapped in a 40 yr olds body. I rode up in a shuttle van with him at one of the Oregon Enduro stops and he seems like a super cool guy. I got some shared stoke off him that's for sure. Friggin mental fast on a bike too.
@Auggie99 my statement is response to the above about suspension being "not Fox" on a couple bikes. Fox "Head" and Fox "Tail" are indeed the same company but task with different products. I.e. one can be sponsored by Fox "Head" and still be running othe maker suspension. Got it?
don't know if you'd see a whip or a flip in the middle of a section like you saw in that very brief clip.
But vibe wise... yeah it's a throw back. I like it.
YEAH but that's the thing. It felt so old school... I mean, even before 2004. It was like watching Simmons, Shandro, Tippie and Barham back in the day but with new rigs, parks, flat TV's and new haircuts... that's it.
Who the heck is singing that song? Terrible vocals. I'm sorry it was so bad it was distracting. I never complain on PB but this is so bad I can't help it. Cool footage though. Rare to see that group of dudes shredding together.
Head matches the balls no doubt.
would be insane.
are you talkin about the old way of thinking?
cause what about the new way of thinking..............
