Video: Fresh Hits at High Speed with Orbea National Enduro Team's Edgar Carballo

May 12, 2020
by Sarah Moore

Edgar Carballo was a member of the Spanish team in the Enduro World Series Trophy of Nations and was planning on competing in the European Enduro Series and the Spanish National Enduro Championship on the new Orbea National Team this year. Here, he compiles some of his favourite riding shots.

Freshly dug dirt, creative lines, and lots of air. All at enduro race speed.

What's the name of the move he does at 1:03? Where he like, shifties his bike across seemingly to preload the next turn.

@Lanebobane its called a Scandinavian flick. They’re absolutely epic as long as you dont smack a tree with your rear wheel Wink

@Gravity24: and once dialed not only does it look pimp, but its also quite useful

Not trying to troll, but genuinely curious, is a scandi flick faster than cornering regularly?

@Vudu74: dependant on the situation but not typically, only if it's super tight. Typically people do it to look cool as heck (like hear) or if you got yourself into a sketchy situation.

@Vudu74: its all about angles and situations bud, just like life

@Vudu74: when you master it, it is very useful on very tight corners to shift the rear wheel violently all the way back to the other side, so the ending position of the bike faces the exit of the corner immediately. At least you notice the difference and how it helps in some corners. Some others don't. Maybe most of them
