He did not see it coming is my point.

The dude riding the drop must have cacked a brick when he saw someone on his landing. Nowt he could do about it anyway.

 Excellent friday fails this week. Guy walking onto the trail under the drop. I assume the warning sign they subsequently put up is just a screengrab from this clip. Guy that ended up in the river... voluntarily it seemed. Failed spectacularly and hilariously but no-one got hurt - the ideal friday fail perhaps. Some great audio this week too. Some very interesting noises coming from the failees. Also love how the first clip is recreated exactly in animation from by the intro immediately after it.

 @danielstutt: yes there are nettles. A wide assortment of other spiky plants as well. Bears and deer run across the trails also. Poison oak and ivy too.

 @Mountainmanjh: ya and I guess other parts of the us have that other poisonous snake, the colorful striped one. And we forgot ticks with Lyme disease and other lifelong diseases and hordes of mosquitoes which may or may not carry debilitating viruses!

I ran over a rattler once, I saw him and it was too late to try and brake so I popped straight over him. I was guiding a group of city slickers too. I made them stop and he slithered away.

I'm terrified for the riders at 1:30 - pretty glad I couldn't see either of the 2nd and 3rd riders' landings. They were freaking going for it!
And yes... 2:12 must have ended in a hospital trip. Total nightmare.
