A note to all the parents and friends filming: Finish filming and walk over to see if they're ok.

No adult wants you to rush over to stand over them while they're in pain. Given them a few seconds to gather themselves first.

No child needs you there in 1.5seconds. The more calmly you make your way over, the less it will "hurt," regardless of the actual injury.

-A guy who has been the faller, filmer, and father.

and more importantly we need to see the full extent of the fail
  • 11 1
You're forgetting the most important reason to stay calm and keep filming. It makes for better Friday Fail videos.
  • 28 0
LOL, "Faller, Filmer, Father" would make a great headstone some day
  • 4 0
@OCSunDevil: In the shape of a youtube plaque, of course.
  • 23 2
The quicker you get there, the greater the opportunity for teabagging
  • 1 0
 @OCSunDevil: PB t-shirt
  • 2 0
 and....... NO LAUGHING
  • 3 0
Joking aside I was shocked and amazed that the cameraman caught Gee’s entire crash/ rag doll all the way down the mountain without so much as a faulted/quiver of the camera.
  • 71 0
There's at least two saves in this one! :-)
  • 11 0
The second save makes me wonder: Was it really worth it? Bye offspring! Smile
  • 3 0
@hilfskonstruktion: nothing was saved in that one...lol... but there was certainly a save before that @1:16 and after @3:18
  • 6 0
 I counted 4.
  • 1 0
 a save for a nut!!!
  • 1 0
@panchocampbell: If he saved only one nut, was it half a save?
No partial credit when it comes to the nuts.
  • 26 0
A couple of these need to be cut and used on Sunday Saves...
  • 7 0
That "save" at 1:25 looks like it might have cost that fella a nut sack. Sounds like a raw deal to me....
  • 6 0
@RayDolor: His bike said: NO KIDS FOR YOU!
  • 6 0
@RayDolor: I've made that "save" before. Everything was fine, but the first thing I did was ensure my junk was still attached.
  • 2 0
@dan23dan23: more money for more bikes
  • 25 0
0:39. That head whip to pavement must have rang some bells.
  • 5 0
 ...that was not good
  • 7 0
His helmet is hardly on his head just prior to impact. Folks, adjust your helmet retention properly, or risk being spoon-fed the rest of your life.
  • 2 3
@JVance: For that kind of crash (where you hit the side of your helmet/head) only a full-face would actually help. My worst crash was a similar sort of impact and my helmet was adjusted properly. Non-full face helmets just don't offer enough side protection. Frown
  • 4 0
@ohbmxer: nah, in this situation, I think the open face is just fine if sized correctly and adjusted properly. Took a similar fall 2 years ago where the bike shot out from under me and threw me violently sideways into the ground (was on a limestone rockface ...not pavement). The protection just above my ear took the impact of the ground (in addition to my shoulder). Received a concussion and sprained shoulder but the helmet prevented any part of my head/face from making contact and I credit it for potentially saving my life. [was riding solo and 5 miles from any assistance]

@ 1:30: Oh man! How'd you get the beans above the frank?
  • 1 0
 Hahahahahaha
  • 1 0
at least bikes aren't using linear pull brakes anymore, could have been worse
  • 5 0
 We got a bleeder!
  • 3 0
 holy steaming nut sack dude
  • 1 0
Or to quote from another movie: "Ow! My balls!"
  • 2 0
 @VtVolk: fwank and beans!
  • 11 0
well that opener certainly covered all the FF bases...lets see.. huck to flat...check. slow mo...check. nut shot...check. OTB...check. Trees...check
  • 11 0
Thanks, happy to tick all the boxes. At 42 though, I'm not sure how long my body can cope with all that the audience wants. Big Grin
  • 1 0
@pelkkaa-alamakea: lol...at least you found your way between the trees.
Any insight into the crash? looks like a little foot slip...or did the rear tire snag the rock on the landing?
  • 2 0
@pelkkaa-alamakea: 42??? You time lots of got. I'm 50's in my, gave audience they want what, and fine I am totally.
  • 4 0
@rrolly: Is it intentional that I read this in Yoda's voice? Just realized that this could explain a lot. An old-ass Jedi has probably been bounced a few times...
  • 2 0
@SATN-XC: Yeah, you can't really see it from the clip but you are supposed to turn rider's right along the shark fin. I didn't, I went straight, so at the end of the shark fin I can already see I will jump towards the forest rather than the trail. And of course, panic breaking on the landing didn't help, as that fully compresses my fork and ejects me. Fortunately nicely between the trees.

Holy shit, I made it to the opening shot of Pinkbike FF. My life is now complete and I can die happy.
  • 11 0
More bucks than a pre-October OnlyFans account...
  • 1 0
 Gold!
  • 1 1
Onlyfans is getting away from adult content BTW. Need to keep the banks happy. FYI
  • 7 0
1.24 I'm just going over to the bushes to check myself out. Could be some wear and tear that needs addressing.
  • 6 0
...we got a repeat in there @3:03, not sure from what prior FF but that has certainly been recycled, and I definitely counted 3 saves. I'm not mad, just....disappointed. Razz
  • 5 0
Loving all the savage kid fails today, most of whom are sending it way harder than me! Props
  • 3 0
The kid at 3:36 just says “wow” after getting thrown down the roots. Wish I could do that
  • 4 0
@JaakanMullet: kid gets up like a boss...bravo. ...to be young again and take that kind of punishment like no big deal
  • 3 0
@JaakanMullet: then goes to look for his shoes
  • 5 0
The first clip: That DH fork bottomed out like it was nothing on a 4 foot drop. Did he forget to put air in it?
  • 2 1
i see this on the trail every ride no one puts enough air in the front any more
  • 2 0
@madmon: Looks like he was on the brakes
  • 5 0
I don’t know about that guy who used his scrotum for brakes. It kinda gave me a new “what if” to worry about.
  • 13 0
Another reason I'm proudly in the pro-chamois club.
  • 1 0
@insertfunusername: I'm reconsidering my belief of not needing them for bike park days
  • 3 0
Something very pleasing about the backyard fail at 2:50. It's like they designed the situation to absolutely maximize the likelihood of failure, but to minimize the injuries from that guaranteed failure.
  • 4 0
Further evidence, rubber on wood can create significant performance drop off
  • 12 1
Further evidence, rubber on scrotum may also see a significant performance drop off.
  • 3 1
 @commental: that's what @Ensminger said
  • 3 0
Nice variety this week, but no saves please. I don't bother watching Sunday Saves, come here for the Fail, only the Fails, and nothing but the Fails.
  • 5 0
Anyone else see the flying phone @2:18
  • 1 0
had to watch it a few times...yup, definitely a phone. Probably mounted on the bars of the guy who crashed.
  • 1 0
:38 and :48 both caused me ample sympathetic pain. Plowing your head into the dirt is one thing, but coming down hard on pavement or boards really f-ing hurts. Hope those riders didn't lose too many IQ points on those crashes.
  • 1 0
Was :48 testing or poaching or? That landing looks half done and the ramp looks brand new.
  • 5 0
 1:30 was nutz
  • 2 0
2:10 was only 2-3 fewer clicks of rebound damping away from nailing that front flip!!!!
  • 1 0
Why is everyone so dead set on trying to pull off the perfect front flip?! It's taken me years to perfect mine and I still can't land it! Smile
  • 1 0
I think there should be a tally at the end... confirmed injuries. Some of those were insane. The one right off the bat where the dude slams his head on the concrete. WTF.
  • 2 0
Maybe it's just me but this week seemed especially vicious. So many big hits.
  • 2 0
Yah I'm sure I've missed a few but this one made me cringe several times more than I can ever remember.
  • 1 0
I am waiting for the save where someone hits a jump and starts going otb and just commits to the front flip. It doesn't have to be landed perfect just rear wheel first.
  • 1 0
Hmmmm…well I count 4 saves in this FF episode…becoming more fuzzy and warm now that PB snd Outside have blended…

Cmon.
  • 1 0
The only reason buddy went OTB on the title line step up at 1:40 was because he was super nose heavy from his Jerry placement of his handlebar lift pass.
  • 1 0
The few saves (and some were spectacular) were cancelled out by the face and skull crackers. And those were spectacular as well.
  • 2 0
Give me 2:49 every single week.
  • 1 0
how did 3:10 make todays vid? I feel like that should've been saved for tomorrow..
  • 1 0
A couple of saves in there. Deciding not to commit right before a drop, isn't a good choice.
  • 1 0
Damn, tons of gnarly crashes today. And a few great saves thrown in for good measure.
  • 2 0
Man,I hope the guy at 1m25s was running a semi-slick in the back.
  • 3 1
i like silly mountain bike video Smile
  • 2 0
@0:50 - so good, poachers beware!
  • 2 0
Legal jump line here in Oregon @ sandy ridge trail system called TnT
  • 1 0
@pdxjeremy: IS that just how the landing is? I mean you not supposed to land short, I get it, but that seems built to injure.
  • 1 0
Is the 1st one something we can call the "reverse MvdP": there is a ramp but I won't use it!
  • 1 0
Some of those were saves, but some of them were well-deserved fails, so it all evens out.
  • 1 0
1:32 = How the PinkBike community felt after hearing the Outside magazine news.
  • 3 0
 I'm famous!
  • 2 0
you'll have to be more specific....clip timing?
  • 1 0
 @SATN-XC:
They saved the best for last. Lol
  • 3 0
 Ye old taint brake.
  • 1 0
Someone might have already said this, but a few of these fails are actually pretty darn good saves
  • 1 0
The amount of people who cannot jump is mind boggling. It isn't rebound etc it is body position!
  • 1 0
Do you think this single snapshot is a good representation of their skills? Have you never crashed or went OTB on a jump? I think... these things happen for various reasons, body position, rebound settings, timing, trail conditions, unfamiliarity with the jump, etc. If you push your limits, your bikes limits, the trails limits... you are going to crash.
  • 1 0
3:11 is the reason I hate Ae Forrest and refused to race it when the SDA's were on!
  • 1 0
High body count this week, urgh...
  • 1 0
What, no stride events? That was the biggest Friday fail
  • 1 0
3:15 Looks like this made it into the wrong edit. Save this one for Sunday
  • 1 0
I’d imagine the collar bone count was high today
  • 1 0
2:29 that fellow smacked his head well on the wood.
  • 1 0
.51 seconds. Camera guy has sympathetic crash.
  • 1 0
At :46 falling off that wood feature....savage!! Frown
  • 1 0
1:30 is that where the term busting a nut came from?
  • 1 0
Jesus, 0:38 was brutal. That would have been a TBI.
  • 1 0
Wow there is some gnarly ones this week. Ouch
  • 1 0
Some of those looked more like Sunday saves.
  • 1 0
I have two videos to send. Where do I send them thanks
  • 1 0
Me too! I had some great crash footage from todays ride but i have no idea how to submit them for friday fails
  • 1 0
@skill7: I sent an pm to pinkbike originals to ask them how. Hope they answer back. Will let you know.
  • 1 0
 Back-yard guy?
  • 1 0
 Oh, it's on!
  • 1 0
 too many ragdolls
  • 1 0
 Ball Burn!!
  • 2 3
Spoiler Alert: people do dumb shit!
  • 1 2
Just me, or this is the same episode as last week?
