 I did an N=1 test of that. Impact severe enough to crack inner and outer shell of helmet. Very mild concussion that was over in a week. Not doing it again with a helmet without MIPS, so who is volunteering for the control group?

 Man, this one starts with a bang. That first dude at 0:20... is he guinea pigging that jump... with no helmet? Who does such things?

Anyway, that nose case into perfect face plant... followed by an audible "OHH THAT HURT".

At least he was conscious?

 @ocnlogan: I filmed that one at :20. He was wearing a skate helmet but has since upgraded to a fox proframe. He rode out the rest of the ride. We all crashed after that though. 100 yards down the trail my other friend went otb in front of me and I had to bail too. Fun day.

 Oooh that line at 0:33, and that crash at the end! Techy stuff and a brutal slam.

 That’s called the “hourglass” at Bootleg Canyon, and it’s one of the gnarliest lines there. The way this guy crashed was absolute best-case scenario, and it was brutal at that!

 @iamsx: thanks for the info. Yeah, that line looks insane and takes full commitment and tons of talent. I love techy desert lines, and i know that if it looks sick on camera its probably ten times harder in real life. The guy knows how to ride i'll give him that, never mind the crash.

 That guy made it WAAAAY more sketchy than it actually is. If you enter the feature from rider's right it's slower and controllable.

 Cause... Unsanctioned trails overlapping park plans. This was just done with the legendary Brutus gap on Cypress mountain. The gap had been there for years, but a MUT was just opened using the FSR it jumps over.

 @Chafingdish: Healthcare. Disclaimer: (Not dentistry) -I even ride an alloy bike. Acronyms everywhere in provider notes, everywhere in literature…..especially clinical trial names. Can’t wait to retire Smile

 i still do not understand why everyone focusses more on filming than riding? Personally I love seasoning sections without any friggin camera adding an element of f*ckery to the mix.

 Did it even happen if its not one film? I bought a go pro years ago when they first came out and quickly realized that absolutely no one, including myself, wants to watch footage of average bikers/skiers/snowboarders, etc.

 @madmon : I also enjoy seasoning sections. I don't know how you get your bbq out there but good on you. I prefer olive oil and Montreal steak spice, or straight up salt and pepper. I've never filmed me seasoning either.
