Gee is a complete beast. Rides this stuff at race speed and narrates as well! I’m still missing Claudio, but previews like this really give you a perspective on what it takes to hit this type of thing at pro level. They’re pros for a reason!

I'll take Gee's detailed insight previews any day over Clownio's yippee-kii-yays.

@neimbc: Claudio is entertaining for sure but I was also liking Gee's professional style on it. And yeah, what a machine to be talking calmly as he does it!

Gee preview is so enjoyable. Track looks sick!
  • 21 13
 Definitely not missing Claudio.

 Fastest 'talking course preview' ever?
  • 9 2
 @neimbc: Totally agree!!!
  • 10 0
Its just crazy to me how he's about 4 minutes into one of the toughest WC tracks and he barely breathing heavy.
  • 34 0
@neimbc: agreed. I think Gee has a future in course previews. Between this and Cathrovision we're being treated to much better quality insights into world cup DH races. Long may it continue.
  • 4 0
@neimbc: Why not both? One brightens my day at work, one makes me want to go charge down trail after work.

This is the first of Gee's course previews that I've watched and it was damn impressive. Plus I think I heard him say more words during this preview than I'd heard from him in all his other interviews added up together.

 Gee's previews are spot!

Yep loving Gee's previews - hope they become a regular fixture. And awesome to see him qualify in the top 10 this week - getting on better with the 29er again

That second camera angle beneath the handlebar is just awful. Please stick to helmet/chest angle.
  • 19 2
I like the camera on the forks because it really shows the height of the rocks and drops. Gee’s so casual it’s crazy. Sub 5 mins while talking all the way down with a section he hit blind! Impressive.
  • 10 2
 I think it's pretty cool.

 @jose90 Thank god. I agree.

@#$$@#%
So much fun to ride
  • 30 1
who else misses watching stevie ride down this track
  • 19 0
80km top speed!! Tons of rock gardens, senders, roots, berms, technical and 4 1/2 min long. That's a proper DH track. MSA never disappoints.
  • 24 0
 Rachel will be doing 90km/h.
  • 13 0
He's the James Bond of course previews. Just having a casual conversation while all hell is breaking loose. Shaken not stirred bitches. I hope he becomes the go-to for this, everyone knows the Brits are tops when it comes to voice-over/narration.

And all of this with a broken hand?!
Cathro is right, he is an animal!!!
  • 13 0
Prob riding 80%85% race pace and giving commentary. Awesome.

Beast. Gee is the man! I really like hearing a veteran like Gee give his take on the course.

flag Joelukens00 (Aug 10, 2018 at 17:11) (Below Threshold)
He is super slow. I can't really respect anything he says ever
  • 3 0
 @Joelukens00: qualified 8th today pal
  • 5 0
@Joelukens00: Sounds like you haven't been following DH for long. Gee is a boss.
  • 7 0
Sounds like Joelukens00 is trolling tbh, but for anyone who might believe the junk he's saying here are some of Gee's major wins:

GBR DH National Champion (1 Wins)
European Union EUR DH European Champion (1 Wins)
UCI DH World Champion (2 Wins)
UCI DH World Cup (5 Wins)
UCI 4X World Cup (1 Wins)
KFC World Campionships (1 Wins)

Also 2nd in Rampage 2010.

That bike is silent. If he rode mine down, you wouldnt be able to hear him narrate haha
  • 5 0
So few tracks left that embodies the true essence of dh tracks. I really feel blessed to have this mountain only 2h30 hours away.
  • 6 0
Gee is such an animal it got my hyped as hell!!
  • 6 0
Best track preview to-date. Well done Gee!
  • 2 0
I've been doing this a long time and I'm still amazed at how fast these guys can ride. My goPro footage looks so lame because my sped doesn't look anything like Gee's speed.....I should just quit now.....anyone want to buy a used DH bike...gently ridden.

Sick preview, wouldn't mind another one in the wet now it looks like its been raining hard
  • 5 0
 brutal af
  • 4 0
He did well to only swear once!
  • 3 0
If it was me,it would be more like "ooh sh#t""oooh f&%k" all the way.
  • 2 0
Gee should think about moving to EWS and him and Hill just destroy everyone. The way he handles himself on the gnar and continue to be able to talk is incredible.
  • 1 0
Echo brilliant video / display of skill and fitness! More please! BTW, what shoes are those he wears please.. I notice from the pics you can set the cleats way way back...... I would like that... a lot... cheers!!
  • 2 0
So casual. Definitely shows the skill level of the pros. Please stick to one angle though. Either is fine but the switching is just distracting.
  • 3 0
Again Gee with the goods.... "This bit's horrible." Gee is the man for this job, sorry claudio!
  • 3 0
what's crazy is that this run was slow for Gee. His quali run was about 20 seconds faster than this.
  • 2 0
Sorry if i'm a bit behind, has Claudio retired from the course previews since he binned it?
  • 5 0
seems like his crash was lots worse than anyone has chosen to make light of publicly (unless I've missed any official statements)... musta been pretty severe Frown
  • 4 0
@tbell1979: He hit his head pretty good and had some swelling of the brain which required surgery. He talked about it on the first broadcast that he was back on the air.
  • 1 0
 @sino428: Sounds nasty Frown
  • 1 0
@Justmatthew: if you watch the broadcasts you can still see the scars on his head from the surgery.
  • 4 1
Well done Gee!!! Much better than Claudio.
  • 4 0
 Excellent. Thanks Gee
  • 3 0

Great insight! Love Claudio, but enjoying a racer's perspective more.

It is a pity he is not on top 5 anymore. I like him.
