Gee's ability to so casually talk while riding like that absolutely befuddles me.
  • + 34
Its crazy. Even towards the bottom or what is clearly a very demanding track the guy barely sounds out of breath.
  • + 8
 That was surreal... Smile
  • + 17
More pro POV runs please. Great analysis and how the hell is he taking soo intelligently while doing warp 9.
  • + 3
And if you ridden this track is even more amazing!
  • + 5
Would love to ride it and check that whole area. The steep sections with a fraction of the dagger shale reminds me of a little place we go called Plattekill Mountain NY.
  • + 17
Man, of all the previews we've seen, this one is by far the best. Clear, concise, super detailed info. Super!
  • + 5
@blast-off: Ya it's hard to not see Claudio but this is some next level insight.
  • + 4
Pretty sure Gee just gained an enormous amount of fans from this video, how he is so composed and articulate while riding that track is literally unreal!!!
  • + 49
Forget Claudio, get Gee to do the course previews front now on, informative & fast as feck!
  • + 42
"Absolutely no grip going down here" and keeps on blasting at mach three thousand. So impressive. I saw the World Champs in Val di Sole was it 2 years ago? The riding level is just insane. You think you can ride "pretty well", then you see some guy riding at a pace you thought was impossible, makes 70th place. And then the top 20 ones break the barrier again. Just massive respect.
  • + 3
Exactly, how does he give the ultimate preview while at full blast. Granted it's not funny like Claudio. Maybe they can have Gee and Brrendog do a ripper preview then have a Claudio run for comic relief. I know he is still healing wisely, head injuries aren't to be taken lightly.
  • + 44
 Gee that was fast....
  • + 38
I don’t understand how fast are the other guys. I want to see Gee back on podium. Good luck!
  • + 28
The other guys are younger, more fearless and have dealt with a lot less injuries than Gee so it stands to reason they're consistently faster. I'd love to see him at the top again but he's still going down as one of the best racers because he was able to win multiple WC races on top of doing well at Rampage on more than one occasion. Oh and of course him surviving the gnarliest crashes on and off the tour. This was a great preview aside from that tire camera angle... wtf was that.
  • + 8
@scott-townes: the tyre camera angle for me helps me see how fast they are actually going
  • + 9
@Grouty2505: Absolutely a fantastic pov for the camera! Gee-man blows me away, his speed and still talking nearly normal, just gobsmacked he can do it while reaching trans light speeds on an insane course. Ive mentioned over and over again... he appears to not be human, his ability to soak up crushing crashes... jump back up and get high results is amazing. Im not going to lie, I am a huge fan of the Athertons, and Gee is my fave.
  • + 21
Hell, Im knackered just watching it! More of these please it was superb.
  • + 17
Claudio was great but I would take more prieviews from Gee any day of the week. My mouth was just hanging open in disbelief as he calmly explained his line choices while absolutely bombing it down the steepest track of the year.
  • + 4
Abso-effing-lutely...That was majestic. Seeing it from Gee and Brenguns perspective makes it so much more WTF...pulling for Gee to net a good result here.
  • + 16
Dam a great course preview. Gee could really have a commentary job, great insight and smooth speaking. Man it looks like he had a gnarly jaw break at one point in his life! great riding.
  • + 8
Yeah agree with this! One of the better POV course previews for sure
  • + 17
two course previews! what a time to be alive!
  • + 9
That was brilliant! Would love to see Gee doing more of these. Between his preview, and Ben Cathro's track walks, the coverage has really taken a step up this year. Red Bull/UCI, if you're reading this, this is the sort of informative coverage we all want to see!

Also, would love to see Gee doing well again, always been a fav of mine. It really shows how fast the current crop of racers are going when they're keeping him off the podium!
  • + 3
Totally agree, the Gee / Cathro coverage has been excellent in recent weeks.
  • + 13
 This is excellent.
  • + 9
Awesome man, savage track, sick commentary!
  • + 9
That was amazing.. what a punishing track. Gee sounded like James Bond !!
  • + 5
that was so good to listen too and watch. Huge respect for Gee. screaming down while casually point out the number of lines, where the lines are and what you need to be doing at different sections. Superb!
  • + 6
Holy mother of earth thats a gnarly course! Felt like he almost lost control on one of those bridges, and thats no cruise speed.. Gee(z)!
  • + 7
Gee that was Primo! Thanks for all the comments. New Claudio for course preview, hopefully...
  • + 3
That course looks super fun and very challenging. It's very rooty, rocky with tons of ruts and little drops. It's unreal how fast Gee rides that stuff. My GoPro stuff looks like it's on slo-mo and his looks like it's on FF.
  • + 2
I miss Claudio... Gee makes it look too easy.... I find it more comforting to hear Claudio's fear as he rides down the track, the same fear I have when I'm trying to go fast at only a fraction of his speed.... Gee's speed, control and ability to calmly talk when flying down the track is just ridiculous!
  • + 3
Gee, that was friggin awesome! Your commentary was superb. The audio was excellent and the ridiculousness of your talent level and your athleticism quite apparent. You are the man.
  • + 6
Those crash pads look so inviting
  • + 5
This could be a sign of passing the torch to Gee from Claudio for track previews....????? Great job!
  • + 6
 That was top notch...nice work
  • + 2
Awesome looking run and kept so 'super' calm narrating. One gripe, but this is a national gripe. Gee, you are English please stop using 'super' instead of 'very' or 'extremely'
  • + 5
 Dude, that was tweaker fast!
  • + 1
 Loved it, think Gee's had a bad rap in the past about 'attitude' or whatever. But since the Athertons Diary series came out,and he's spoken more on camera I've started to like the bloke more. Always been a talented rider,as have Dan and Rache', but that was impressive. Riding at that speed, and talking precisely and calmly as he did. Awesome;
  • + 3
I’d like to see how that front GoPro was mounted, that was a really cool perspective. I assume it was attached to the top of the fork lowers?
  • + 3
 Handlebar
  • + 1
I occasionally hear negative things about Gee but I've always respected him and enjoyed his riding. I'm impressed with his commentary (Ben Cathro as well). I think a commentary show with Gee and Ben would be cool when/if Gee retires.
  • + 3
Very good commentary & I can't believe how calm he is. Plus, he's dealing with a bad hand.
  • + 3
That is the best course preview I have ever seen. So much information from Gee considering how tough it was. Amazing.
  • + 2
WOW How the hell does he talk calmly while sending it----Best course preview yet
  • + 3
WOW! , So good! he is a beast! great job ,GEE man!
  • + 2
How was he so chill while just destroying that track...what a sick preview.
  • + 3
Flat out greasy chill. G. A.'s bike is quieter than L. Shaw's
  • + 3
He's smooth AF that's why, all the greats are smooth like that. Would love to watch a Minnar preveiw
  • + 2
That's got to be one of the best track previews I have ever watched - fair play to Gee he's good with the commentary
  • + 2
Loved the commentary but man, with that front camera angle, I need to take some motion sickness pills next time...
  • + 2
Hell yeah Gee! That was proper! Great analysis and great riding. Incredible!! Please do more of these Smile
  • + 3
More Gee Force please, that was insane, thanks Gee!!
  • + 3

  • + 1
Great preview Gee, thank you. Helmet cam is the best view thanks.
  • + 0
Gee + Danny Hart together, might be able to grow a half a beard. Just shave patchwork already!
  • + 1
Are you serious? Gee and Affy have really hardcore facial hair. They look like Badgers, lol. Gee obviously dont like to shave, so he sports the scruff look all the time.
  • + 1
Wow, that was such a good commentary, more of this please Red Bull
  • + 1
What did those turns ever do to you, Gee?
  • + 1
 That was excellent!
