Greg and Burgtec take you down the Leogang World Champs course. Tricky lines, autumn weather and a new bottom section make for a pretty wild ride!—The Syndicate
Greasy rooty awkward woods section, inclement weather, a big ass jump at the bottom, seems like I'm gonna need a TRIPLE bypass because I'm gonna be having a HART attack Sunday.

@Three6ty: that's a good point - will the other networks just use the red bull feed with their own commentators? there's no way every country will have a camera crew there...
@shredddr: Im not sure. I think is NBC sports that owns the rights. What i have seen in the past is a hour show that shows just some highlights from all the races over the weekend (XC and DH). It kind of sucks. The XC race will be a shit show tomorrow with how muddy the course is. MY bet is that because of the expected snow, the DH races will not take place.
@FUbob: I don't think think your comment was aimed in anyway aimed at visser62. Been watching the Giro this week and the riders are dropping like flies - could do with some Mtb skills in them. As much as I admire the roadies I still think it was a very funny comment.
@cool3: nothing against MSA but totally different, at slow speed you can ride everything in msa if youre a descent riders. Here the riders was basically on the edge a full minute, so many crashes in practice today even by the top pros
Nice to see some slower sections. It was watching riders on steep and horrible stuff that looked unrideable that got me hooked in the first place.
Really looking forward to Sunday.
Listen you get the start hut, the cable cam at the finish line, a random turn or two 3/4 of the way down and some big jumps on the motorway. Maybe if you bought more fizzy p... erm energy drink you could have more than that.
@adrennan The new version of the Shorty (not sure if it's getting a new name) is basically a copy of the Specialized Hillbilly with what look to be slightly shorter knobs. The new design is more open and could be a great front tire or front/rear for anyone riding loose/soft terrain. Also, because the knob height is not crazy tall it could be used on rock/roots as well. So it's far more versatile than an old Shorty or cut spike. The new tire has already won an EWS race this season under @JesseMelamed and both male/female categories at the French Cup DH rounds and Crankworx last week. A lot more versatility. Sounds like supply chain issues have prevented it from rolling out to the public already.
@iiman: Yes, that's the most obvious change, but there are other smaller modifications. You can see the tire in a lot of photos and videos from the past few week's events. For instance: in the Crankworx DH stream Vali Holl does a bike check and she has them on front and rear. Given how many riders are on Maxxis, there's a good chance the tire wins worlds this weekend.
God, I hope the girls are Ok with that massive gap there, with all that mud speed its probably not quite there. Looked like Greg pulled very hard on this one ...
@Raisadaruppe: No one doubt their skills, but in worlds there is girls which dont race world cup track everyday especially in these conditions lol... My point was, there is not chicken line, you have to do it, and that slippery wooden thing just before the gap might just play someone a bad joke
Where is Sam Hill when you need him to show the kids how it's done? He would have killed it on this track. Definitely some sketch lines through multiple sections.
Started with the wind howl in the high speed section. Then in the woods you hear something rattling/ vibrating like the gopro is coming loose. Then you start hearing some rubber on glass scrubbing sounds near the bottom. Then near the finish I think I was hearing all those sounds combined. Also heard somebody call him "big boy"

Spot on, Prof. Cheers.
A track for a technical riders
Props to the leogang builders, bottom part is the sickest section since schladming 2009 wood section, real downhill

But of course MSA is gnarly
"Too boring they said, not enough tech they said, we'll give them fkin tech, you just watch, let's see how they like THIS"
Belgians.
Also, the shorty is very good in everything but hardpack, give it a go
That slip @2:55 tho... ????
