Henrique is an excellent example that champions are not born ready, he has evolved a lot every year, his dedication and strength made it reach where it is today. Very proud of what he is doing for Brazilian cycling. Congratulations!

What a charming gentleman. Best of luck with your goals this year, Henrique!

Avancini is doing great. Considering that pro mountain biking in Brazil is close to nothing, it´s almost a miracle he is riding with the XC top guys. Congrats and all the best!

Not related at all but why so many Swiss top riders and so few Austrian? Similar terrain, population, number of competitive skiers. Austria in 9th place and Switzerland in 1st.

If making him smaller makes you bigger thats OK! He entered in 14 races this year and was in the podium in 10 of them, he won some XCC WC races and was in the front of the racers in many XCO WC races. And also he ended in 3rd overall, yeah he is just another XC rider for you even he been a World Champion last year! But for us brazilians he is like God. I rode one day with him some months ago and the guy is so humble and gentle... I understand you are Swiss.

I'm not Swiss.....am neutral......he's a good rider and deserves more podiums next year and even a win
.....I'm all for emerging talents, especially from new places in the world! Podium I was counting as 1,2,3 however

He’s been on 2 World Cup XC podiums ever and now that makes him a ‘podium regular’???
(Sep 8, 2019 at 13:44)
podium regular, doesn't mean only 1st place, and only WC races, he has won everything he races here in Brazil and another places too...
(Sep 8, 2019 at 14:41)
: Sorry man but it clearly says "World Cup XC podium regular" in the article........of course he has won other stuff, but has hardly been on the podium in XC
