When you think of holidays in Mexico, fresh loam, high-altitude riding, and party trains are not what first comes to mind, right? TranSierra Norte is a bike race that keeps riders away from the stereotypical Mexican holiday and takes them through the depths of the Sierra Madre, showcasing fresh-cut loamers, long stages, authentic food, and exploring a side of Mexico most people traveling through the country won't even come close to.
Featuring all the colors and flavors, loooong and steeeeeep stages, and delightful soil. TranSierra Norte is a natural Bike-Fiesta, a physically challenging party, like a Lucha Libre fight, just on two wheels.

The guys at Transierra Norte sure know how to put on a party! I haven't raced there, but did the tour with www.transierranortetheride.com and it was sublime! Transierra Norte puts so much effort in opening new trails and maintaining them that I wanted to chip in with the guys who actually open the trails!
Oaxaca is soo fun, not just the trails which are some of the best in the world, but the culture, the food, the colors! Unique place in the world! Sign me up for 2023!

Got to do the TSN The Ride earlier this year. Was the best week of shuttle riding in my 20 years on two knobby wheels. They know how to do it.

Did a week with Javiar and the crew at Oaxaca Bike Expeditions this past fall. Such an amazing experience, and reasonably priced for an all inclusive week of shuttled riding. Rode the same trails as this race and they are incredible. Look them up, they'll take good care of you. oaxacabikeexpeditions.com

Whoa...what's with the downvotes? I've raced the TSN *and* done a tour with Javier and Oaxaca Bike Expeditions and both were fantastic.

@geephlow: Yeah, I don't get the downvotes. Just trying to promote a fantastic crew and location. This place is a must visit for any traveler/biker. The trails, food, drinks and culture are world class. It will make you fall in love with Mexico.

@porkchopsandwich: Personally I'm stoked for anyone that gets down there with whatever tour service. That said, TSN does all the trail work to keep them open, so I highly recommend supporting them if you can! I also understand that Oaxaca Bike Expeditions has an open booking situation, so you never know who will be in your group. When I went with TSN they only booked groups together.

TSN are the best, went there this fall, it couldn't have been better. Annie and the crew were great. trails are off the hook! If this place isn't on your bucket list ----it should be!! Cheers
