Video: The 50to01 Line is Even Bigger Now & Joey Gough Sends It

I rode the 50to01 Revolution Bike Park when it was fairly new, some 5 years ago. Recently it's been revamped and revitalized, it's got even bigger and has the addition of a huge kicker. You don't see many kickers that big open to the public that's for sure!

Last week I headed there for the Project Evolve Women's day run by Becci Skelton, Vero Sandler and Sian Dillon. As it happened, the new 50to01 line had just re-opened a few days before and Vero had already been totally ripping up the entire line, with Natasha Bradley getting as the top section done already too. On the day of the event, Vero shared all her best tips for the line with me and Tash before we set about conquering it together.

It's a buzz hitting new jumps for the first time, but sharing the stoke with someone else makes it even better and as you can see, we had such a good time helping each other and riding together. That kicker is dreamy, I can't wait to go back and ride it again!

A big shout out to the girls for organising an amazing day, it was incredible to see so many women of all levels pushing their own limits. Things have changed so much in such a short space of time and it's awesome to see.

I've seen this line in the flesh, photos don't do it justice. It's no joke, ace to see ladies shredding the f**k out of it.

Yup, I've been watching this line get sculpted to perfection over the last several months and those gaps and tables are just ridiculous...need to complete the Vision line before I can even think about trying the 50:01 !! Kudos the all the girls (and guys) who can slay this line like this, so sick!

Pure side note; but metal ramps and a country known for it's wet weather doesn't seem like the greatest combo.

the silver strip on the ramp looks to be mesh so probaby grippy enough even in the wet

Ahh metal ramps, burn you in the summer, slippery as ice with the slightest bit of moisture. The choice of many a early 2000s local council.

The metal is a mesh which was added to make sure the ramps didn't get slippery when wet

It would be nice if a park in America would build some big jumps like that which are open to the public. Seems like the UK and Canada are leading the way. The largest jump I can find on the east coast is the 30’ dirt to dirt on Ft. Hill at Thunder Mountain. Any thoughts on where I can find something larger??!!??

Is that the park singletrack sampler has various videos of him hitting the jump line? That would be the only one I can think of on the east coast.

Edit, it is, nvm. Gotta go west apparently
