Sam Blenkinsop always stands out from a crowd. Fast, loose, and with a unique style, we follow Sam through his day of racing the Downhill at Crankworx Rotorua 2019.
I think Blenki won last year because of the way he rode The Larches section. His speed through there was insane, so much faster than everyone else if the footage Ben Deakin and Sam Reynolds posted was anything to go by. I wonder if the people behind Crankworx will ever put a camera there, or if they'll continue to assume, year after year, that all people want to see is riders hitting jumps.
Its a shame that every good bit of the race gets zero coverage. The issue is its REALLY hard to get all the gear in there to film AND run a fat pipe back to civilization so the footage can be streamed. Still though, with them coming to the same venues year in year out you think they could work on this problem for the 364 days it isn't being filmed. Hell even the grass section just out of camera view from the start is more interesting than most of the angles they have.
Ryys and Adrian have been doing the heavy lifting on this series, but Jason and Chris were a big part of us all coming together to figure out the best way to move past the highlights videos we’d gotten a bit tired of doing. Glad you’re enjoying them!
Yeah I was wondering. Have we seen that bike before? I don't remember it but no one seems to be making a big deal out of it. Completely different than the current Demo
It's a zipper bro!
