Video: How the Grinch (Almost) Ruined MTB Christmas

We made this humorous short to show bad behaviors on the trail and remind people that conflict on multi-use trails, particularly trails with bike friendly features puts access to those trails in jeopardy and that for access and the holiday spirit you should just be polite. If you can wait for 30 seconds and let the slower rider get far enough ahead to finish out the trail with overtaking, that's a nice thing to do. If you have to pass, don't run up on them and stress them out. If a hiker cedes their right of way, that's not an invitation to put on the gas. We don't like it when cars speed pass if we move to the shoulder so just slow enough to thank them, it goes a long way.

I wish I was able to do that to people leaving their dogs' shit on the trail. Unfortunately I'm not too talented.

@Muckal: and now you have a goal for 2020. Looking forward to your video next year smashing dog shit people.

A useful way of making goals more powerful is to use the SMART mnemonic. While there are plenty of variants (some of which we've included in parenthesis), SMART usually stands for:

S – Specific (or Significant).
M – Measurable (or Meaningful).
A – Attainable (or Action-Oriented).
R – Relevant (or Rewarding).
T – Time-bound (or Trackable).

@MattyBoyR6: what are you talking about exactly. For whom is this context applicable and what what is the context, in general, in which this is to be useful??

Love the dog tied to the bollard, then tossed a treat that he can’t reach! It’s funny. Sadly there are too many people that really do that kind of stuff.

@bobthestapler: Rode Scott's and Hoot yesterday afternoon. Upper Hoot was soupy mud and Scott's was epic. Try to ride before the mud thaws. But the frozen banked corners are slippery.
