Video: Jackson Goldstone and Remy Metailler Ride One of Squamish's Best Tech Trails

by Rémy Métailler

Jackson Goldstone down Squamish's best technical black diamond trail? I think so! Unrelated Dead Guy is an amazing technical trail. Lots of cool little features and the bottom of Somewhere Over There is a must ride as well!

I met Jackson Goldstone when I first arrived in Canada. He was the kid sending it on a run bike! Now he is already at 16 one of the most skilled riders out there. It's humbling to see him ride all kind of bikes the way he does. Give him a follow on Instagram: @jacksongoldstone

Burning an avocado toast is like over cooking an egg benny. But way worse.

Unrelated Dead Guys is awesome, thank you to the builder! And hope it stays in good shape since it's a bit out of the way.

Totally. Not an easy one to maintain, since it's quiet a walk.

Gary Mcfarlane built this and many other fantastic trails in Squamish. He’s a local hero. And he runs the local Ninja Gym

@paulwatt: Nice, I did mention he built it in the description but did know he runs the ninja gym! Once it reopens I'll go visit this place!

Superb link set of trails there.
Worth noting its PH (Power Hoods) that was dropped into not Powerhouse Plunge.
You can ride the upper Powerhouse Plunge, (Squamish's finest old skool trail riding and an integral part of SORCA, Cliff Miller's and the community at large's history in trail stewardship and advocacy), then climb up the FSR to SOT
You finished off on the newer addition to SOT - SOT Alt ending or on Strava as "Somewhere new"

Double backflip?!?! At 16 y.o.!!! :O I knew he was a solid dh rider but didn't know he was doing those things!!

Tristan Lemire is gonna have some good competition here! Hope the best for those 2 young shredders! Smile

Another great video - thanks, Rémy.

Although it did make me sad in advance: SOT is one of my fav trails up there, and have not ridden UDG yet. I have a few weeks planned in S2S this coming summer, but I have a feeling it's not going to happen...

Stay well everyone, and appreciate what you have!
